Dried figs are very hard to check for infestation even for a so called expert. The fact is that this years figs from the USA, TURKEY, Greece are all infested. They are very hard to see- DON'T USE ANY OF THEM.

Rabbi Weisner's KCL, like you like to call it, came out with an issur on the dried figs. First he was going to say to use the Turkish ones only. Someone must have educated him. Is it possible that Rabbi Weisner is not an expert in bedikas of insects? I can't accept that. Doesn't Rabbis Gissinger, Bodner, Star-K and others have some videos on bedikas, he could have watched them & become an expert.
So how do Satmar & Debrecin give hashgocho to Klein's if it's vadai infested?
Only dried figs or fresh too?
Fresh is much easier to check. Make sure it isn't over-ripe.
zeev rothchild says
whatever shain says
do just the opposite

how can you argue with rav belskey
he is today the godo hador in america
if rav belsky says a bug is not a bug then its not a bug and okay to eat it
he has a miridke koach hapsak
as we know koach dehetaroh odev

The hashgochas can't check for infestation as infestation can & will happen later on as well when the eggs hatch [especially in a warm humid climate], so one must have an expert check it or don't use.
