DRIED fruits and especially FIGS INFESTED-

It just doesn't pay to consume all of the "TU-BI'SHVAT" fruits due to the high incident of infestation. All of the HASHGOCHAS are NOT on the infestation. You would be doing a mitzvah by saying the 15 "SHIR-HA'MAALOS" and not consume any of the questionable fruits, etc

Dried figs are very hard to check for infestation even for a so called expert. The fact is that this years figs from the USA, TURKEY, Greece are all infested. They are very hard to see- DON'T USE ANY OF THEM.

Rabbi Weisner's KCL, like you like to call it, came out with an issur on the dried figs. First he was going to say to use the Turkish ones only. Someone must have educated him. Is it possible that Rabbi Weisner is not an expert in bedikas of insects? I can't accept that. Doesn't Rabbis Gissinger, Bodner, Star-K and others have some videos on bedikas, he could have watched them & become an expert.

So how do Satmar & Debrecin give hashgocho to Klein's if it's vadai infested?

Only dried figs or fresh too?

Fresh is much easier to check. Make sure it isn't over-ripe.

The hashgochas can't check for infestation as infestation can & will happen later on as well when the eggs hatch [especially in a warm humid climate], so one must have an expert check it or don't use.
