For starters, A kosher certifier would need at large crew of Mashgichim for these cruises, not just 2. We question if it can be done at all-sometimes it's just not doable.

“There are many halachos one must consider before deciding to embark on a cruise,” adds Rabbi Goldberg. “Kashrus, tznius, Shabbos, and davening bring their own unique challenges onboard. Making sure that one is keeping those mitzvos properly would surely be a zechus (merit) to ensure one’s safety.”
Although, presently, STAR-K does not kosher certify any cruises, it would like to present just some of the several questions that Torah observant cruise passengers must face:
KASHRUS: What arrangements have been made to accommodate kosher food preparation? Is a kitchen dedicated to kosher food preparation, or has only a portion of a non-kosher kitchen been designated for kosher cooking? Will there only be a small percentage of the passengers who are kosher, making an especially problematic shared kosher and non-kosher situation more likely? Are you confident that everything will be cooked before Shabbos, and that the mashgichim will ensure that the staff follows the intricacies of the Shabbos laws of food preparation?
TZNIUS: Is it likely that your fellow passengers will show a lack of modesty, particularly if you are sailing to a sunny destination?
SHABBOS: Does the cruise leave within three days of Shabbos or Yom Tov, which Chazal have decreed is forbidden if the ship does not dock before Shabbos and remains in port during that Shabbos?
KABOLAS SHABBOS: How will you know when to accept Shabbos since, for security reasons, cruise lines are reluctant to release data to passengers and it is difficult to know exactly where the ship will be at any given moment?
ELECTRONICS: Will electronic cabin door locks, electric eye automatic door opening mechanisms, and sinks and toilets controlled by an electric eye, that have become commonplace on cruise ships, create a challenge on Shabbos?
SECURITY: If you return to the ship after a Shabbos stroll, can you be guaranteed that you will not set off alarms or lights at the metal detector? How will you get around showing your ticket (which may be muktza and forbidden to carry) and/or passport upon returning to the ship, so as not to cause Shabbos violations?

Are you saying that hashgochos that specialize in cruises like MGK only employ 2 mashgichim for a boat with 1000+ on board?
As another note of caution, cruise ships are said to be major hotspots for bedbug infestation lately.
For the price they charge the consumer can only expect that strict standards are maintained. Cant the same be said for a function in a NY hotel where they're serving thousands of non-kosher guests at various dinners at the same time.
R' Yudel, it is not fair that you placed R' Levi Teitelbaum in the same category as the others. He pushes to get the maximum number of mashgichim that the cruise operators will allow, something like a crew of 5 and he is a big talmid chochom who closely monitors everything.
I don't know in detail about the others except that it may also be unfair to attack R' Leibel Miller. He is sometimes working as a mashgiach for MGK and others where he is not in charge. When he is the rav hamachshir, I am told he only does small events that he has complete control over.
Someone recently tried to drag his name in as giving hashgocho on a problematic company in Mexico but he told one rov who inquired that they have no permission to use his name and that he only certified one small event they did.
The Mexican company called Kosher Solutions was dropped by Chabad of Cancun who warn on their website that the kashrus of this company cannot be trusted. The company is currently supervised by "Rabbi" Dr. Samuel Szteinhendler who is the head of the Conservative movement in Latin America.
The problem is not the cruise. The cruise is just the symptom of the disease. Nobody cares...not the o.u.,star k, and not even the helaga nirabator!
Rabbi Chein said he never did any hashgocha on any of the cruises. What he did do is kasher on ocassion one of their hotels.
He also was unaware that he was on their site. He was notifying them to have any mention of him removed immediatly.
I wonder how many mashgichim Rabbeinu Chaim Schwartz employs when he gives his private, non-VHQ hashgocho on Jewish Heritage Center events that takes over the gantz hotel.
Which Rabbi Chein is that? The Lubavitcher who has a shul by Ave M & East 10th?
This is the kind of Brooklyn fresser who goes on a kosher cruise and is not embarrassed to write a public letter about it.
This guy who is a big shot in NYC public school and charter school systems also owns a company called Starting Point Services in Flatbush that provides therapy to little kids. Sadoff extorts parents so that he can make more money and will mess up your child's services if you don't go along with his crooked schemes. Stay away from him!

To the Editor: My companions and I recently traveled with Norwegian Cruise Lines in the Western Caribbean. They offer an air-sea program, which we opted for. Ten days before we were to leave from Newark for Fort Lauderdale to embark on our trip, we were given our flight information. Trans World Airlines was our carrier and it was flying us from Newark to St. Louis, where we were to take a connecting flight to Fort Lauderdale. The return trip was equally absurd. Norwegian Cruise Lines, when asked, absolved itself of responsibility by saying we had the option of arranging our own flights and that they had no control over the airlines that they contract with.
I think cruise lines have an obligation to let prospective passengers know that the air portion of a cruise vacation might entail a circuitous trip. What should have been a relaxing vacation was marred by our unforeseen visit to the St. Louis airport: This made a 2 1/2-hour journey to Florida into a 7 1/4-hour journey going down and a 15-hour journey returning.
ARTHUR SADOFF Brooklyn
For those of you who are not aware, cruise ship fees are meshunadik expensive, much, much more than a stay at a 5 star hotel.
I don't know if it's the status that draws people because there are kamma risks that makes me think you have to be crazy to set sail with them.
Der Eybishter zolt hitten but these are the risks:
1. Because they recycle the water on board, that's why there are frequent outbreaks of Legionnaire disease and other stomach bugs
2. Large numbers of people disappear from cruises every year and are thought to be thrown overboard by crazy passengers or crew with murderous tendencies to eliminate a stranger. The ships are all foreign flagged and provide little cooperation to the FBI. There are also countless incidents of crew attacking women, burglarizing cabins and committing other crimes while the cruise operator stonewalls police.
3. Al Qaeda has a known contingency plan to hijack cruise ships according to a manual discovered by the CIA.
Does this kind of warped thinking come from timtum of eating from VHQ? Article is edited to make it less prust.
http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/jewish-couple-upset-about-hamburger-cook-off-on-barrymore-film-set_1161593
An orthodox Jewish couple who opened their Queens, New York home for the cast and crew of DREW BARRYMORE's new movie GOING THE DISTANCE demanded producers replace their grill and kitchen utensils after learning an inconsiderate crewmember had used the kitchen to cook a hamburger.
Barrymore and real-life boyfriend Justin Long filmed a znus scene in the apartment on the dining room table.
The owners had no problems with the znus, but were horrified when they realised someone had cooked a burger in the house.
Long explains, "They were incredibly sweet people... and we did one scene where we had to eat around this dinner table and we were eating these hamburgers and the prop guy was making the burgers on the grill that the orthodox couple owned and they found out and they got very upset about it.
"They took issue with it because it was not kosher food and it had touched their grill, so they wanted the studio to replace the grill, which they did, and they wanted to replace any utensil that had touched the grill. That's how serious these people were.
"Somebody, while we were shooting the znus-on-their-dining-room-table scene, raised the point, 'Well, if they had a problem with that meat...' We did take after take."

The Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem is opening this month a holistic wellbeing spa that compliments its image as a hotel for younger, less-observant guests.
“The bathroom walls are made of glass that can frost over at the touch of a button, which is different from other hotels,” Scott said. “Frum [observant] families with children might not want this.”
And all this has to do with the VHQ like "last years snow".

Here is shochet & meat producer Naftali Hanau again, the associate of Dokter Rabbiner Seth Mandel who the Jewish Week incorrectly labels as orthodox when he publicly calls himself a "post-modern-orthodox" Jew who has no problem eating vegetarian food from treif kelim ben yomo in goyishe restaurants.
First we learned that he opened a poultry company called Grow & Behold marketing chickens under the "Sara's Spring Chickens" label that operates out of David Elliot in Scranton.
Now the newspaper tells us that Hanau is looking for a beef producer to work with.

Some 5,000 people are employed in 120 factories in the industrial zone. About half of them are Palestinian. "I am worried. After all, they're not going to go throw rocks at Abbas, so they will direct their anger at us."
On the road to Migron, just across from the villages of Jab'a and Mikhmas, the Psagot Winery is located. The winery produces 80,000 bottles of wine a year, the vast majority of which make their way abroad.
Jamil Jahalin, 30, who is living in a tent on a nearby hill, one floor above the winery.
"Jamil and Hamoud do wonderful work," said Psagot General Manager Yaakov Berg. "It is prohibited to employ a non-Jew in the vineyard for kosher reasons, but they do everything in the visitors' center.
"Just this week, when the security alarm went off in the middle of the night, my first phone call was to Jamil because he lives a meter from here and could arrive immediately. We are all dependent on one another."
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/hain-celestial-fourth-quarter-results-2010-08-25?reflink=MW_news_stmp
Hain Celestial was really bleeding money with Kosher Valley. In one quarter alone of 2010 they lost $1.2 million.
What surprises me though is that this report to shareholders explains that they did not outright sell the company to Empire. They did an exchange where they now own an equity stake in Empire.
Just goes to show you that the meat industry is not for the inexperienced. Hain Celestial is a huge company and they still couldn't get it right.
There goes you know who again at the Queens Vaad trying to mach avek an embarrassing story by smearing whoever brings it up.

This article narrows down who the modern orthodox menuvolim are. Their home is in Hollis Hills so they almost certainly daven at the VHQ's Young Israel of Hollis Hills-Windsor Park whose VHQ member rabbi signed the pro-gay statement with Avi Weiss's chevrah welcoming openly gay "couples" to his shul and their adopted children to yeshivos.
10:28 am does have issues as he missed (or chooses to ignore) Spotlight's first point.
Like R' Yudel has constantly pointed out, kashrus problems are a direct source of timtum halev. So VHQ having bugs in their food and no mashgiach temidi for caterers who aren't frum could certainly cause Queens residents to lo aleinu let people be mezaneh befarhesya for the movie cameras on top of their dining room table where they are mekadesh shem Hashem. Since the shulchan at home is domeh to the mizbeyach, this is like maaseh Rome in the Beis Hamikdash. The only limud zechus that supposedly orthodox people could stoop so low is that they get timutum from the locally available food.
Yudel, what's about these Glatt kosher hotels, shabbosim, Yom Tov and especially Pesach?

Why not apply the same standard elsewhere? Why only do the right thing in order to pander to the Lubav establishment?

Phil Falcone's riskiest trade ever?
Reuters
Consider his acquisition of a controlling interest in kosher food company Manischewitz in 2007. Harbinger has sunk more than $100 million into the manufacturer of Passover goods and religious wine for Jewish ceremonies. But people familiar with the company say the deal has been a disaster for Harbinger and it is one of the illiquid investments sitting in a so-called sidepocket -- a special fund Falcone set up in late 2008 for hard-to-sell assets.
It's not clear why Falcone, who isn't Jewish, got interested in Manischewitz. In 2005 he began buying up some of its distressed debt in the secondary market. Eventually he bought out the former owner, RAB Foods. Over the past three years, the company has had three chief executive officers.
Bruce Bossidy, who served as Manischewitz's CEO from January 2008 to January 2009, declined to comment. On his LinkedIn page, however, he offered up a negative assessment of his brief tenure at the company. He wrote that Manischewitz "was not cash flow positive and suffered from high seasonality, high fixed costs and poor system/process development."
Bossidy added that the plan to turn around the company "was substantially more challenging than originally planned based on the direction and limitations imposed by financial owner."
Hoff, the Harbinger spokesman, said Manischewitz is making "progress towards reaching its business goals.
The Hollis Hills story with the movie shoot is a terrible chilul Hashem. All the media outlets are starting to pick up on it and make a big deal that the baal habos is frum.
TBS is reporting that it wasn't just one mayseh znus but that most of the movie is basically porn.
Could this be another symptom of the disease that Queens Vaad shul directories recommend Conservative schools to their membership children including the Conservative Hollis Jewish Center and where women come to shul on Shabbos dressed like zoynas?
Let's hope the mezuzos were possul before the lowlives let the abomination into their home in Queens.

The Shamir Salads factory located in the Barkan industrial zone produces tons of hummus, tehina, matbouha, and other specialty salads every day. Ninety of the 120 employees come from local Palestinian villages. The rest are Israeli. On the production line, it is hard to tell them apart. The same hands wash, peel, and cut the vegetables.
Some 5,000 people are employed in 120 factories in the industrial zone. About half of them are Palestinian. "I heard they are being threatened with imprisonment and fines," said Amiram. "It is very worrisome and aggravating. I am worried about the factory, but also about our 90 employees. After all, they're not going to go throw rocks at Abbas, so they will direct their anger at us."
Conclusions based on "...so they 'almost certainly' daven at...".

http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/business/non-religious-kibbutz-to-have-only-non-jews-milk-on-shabbat-1.309122
Kibbutz Hazorea, founded by the non-religious Hashomer Hatzair movement in 1936, will stop using Jews to milk its cows on Saturday - and will make an estimated NIS 200,000 a year as a result.
The kibbutz, located in the Jezreel Valley, reached an agreement with the Tnuva company to use only non-Jews during the Sabbath for milking, but not other jobs. Tnuva will pay Hazorea a higher price for the milk, which can be sold under a stricter Kashrut label (mehadrin ).
As part of the agreement, Jewish kibbutz members will be allowed to milk the cows on up to 10 Saturdays a year, for example during the month of Ramadan or on other non-Jewish religious holidays. On those weekends, however, Tnuva will only sell Hazorea's milk under its regular Kashrut label - but the kibbutz will still be paid the higher price for the product.
To ensure that the Kashrut rules and agreements are being kept, eight cameras will be installed around the milking barn and Tnuva supervisors will examine the recordings after the Sabbath.
Speaking of the Conservative being maysis both the modern orthodox and more haymish in Queens without a peep from the rabbis, I went to check out the matzav myself at the park in Hillcrest.
A friendly macher named Larry Welgrin from Israel Center of Conservative Judaism comes with his whole family and stakes out all the frum people in the park. When the husband is present, Welgrin only makes small talk and appears to be modern orthodox himself. To pull the mothers and kids into the swimming and more insidious programs, the snake waits for an opportunity when the wife is by herself before making a move.
Welgrin is dangerous because he comes across geshmak. Another scout sent by the Temple is a joke. She is a very dark skinned lady originally from India who tells the frum mothers that she used to go to "Bais Yaakov" but decided the lifestyle "isn't for her". Unless she was adopted and later went off the derech, this would be impossible. She might be a shiksa married to a Conservative Jew without proper gerus or she might be from the very dark skinned Jews in India that have an interesting history. They claim to have been "shipwrecked" from Eretz Yisroel "2000 years ago". That is a baloney cover up story. They used to be avodim owned by Sefardim living in India who became Jews after shichrur. Today, they have small shuls in some cities but they are Conservative or Traditional, not frum.
More lies from VHQ. Anything abee for them to cover up. Anyone associated with us davens where the veiber dress tzniusdik.
And VHQ is busy covering up elsewhere. A caterer under them who is on the board of directors of a group of apikorsim, recently had his name removed from the letterhead because it is bad for his business and major bizyonos for the Queens Vaad. Not that the cover up will work since askonim are in the process of distributing an earlier version of letterhead to non-VHQ rabbonim.
How many outside hashgochos will kasher before using a VHQ facility? There is already one major one that is kashering when they never used to.

http://www.naturalnews.com/029516_canola_oil_fraud.html
Canola stands for Canadian oil, since it is grown, processed & exported mainly from Canada. And the Canadian government put up the cash to have the FDA classify Canola oil as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). This classification allowed the industry to avoid long term safety testing.
The Canadian government subsidizes rapeseed planting & harvesting. Those plants are cheap, easy to grow & naturally insect resistant, and Canola oil is cheaper & easier to use for processed foods than expensive, healthier oils such as olive oil.
Originally it was called lear oil (low erucic acid rapeseed) a hybrid of rapeseed to remove most of its erucic acid, which is toxic. Rapeseed oil is so toxic that bugs & animals won't eat it. It was used in the first half of the 20th century as an industrial oil. So that name had to go. Hence, the product became Canola oil in 1988.
The rapeseed plant was genetically modified further to withstand heavy doses of the Monsanto's weed killing herbicide Roundup. Roundup is not safe for humans & animals, so the use of a toxin to support a genetically modified plant makes for a dangerous combination.
In addition, the oil is heated to over 300 degrees to remove extremely unpleasant odor. Processing vegetable oils may include degumming, batch acidulation, bleaching, deodorization, chemical extraction methods using solvents & high temperature expeller pressing.
Canola oil is monounsaturated, which makes it easy to promote it as similar to olive oil but cheaper. But real olive oil is not processed & doesn't contain toxic trans-fatty acids or GMOs.
... when piglets were fed a formula using Canola oil, their vitamin E was reduced to dangerous levels, and their blood platelets became sticky, impeding blood flow. And this is what is promoted as a healthy oil?
A rabbi for one of the shuls of Indian meshuchrarim in India used to be section chief for the Star-K. When an American newspaper reported his shul was a cross between orthodox, conservative & reform, they quietly dropped him.
A rov recently complained to the Rabbanut because the same guy in India is in charge of kashrus for El Al from there.
http://www.courthousenews.com/2010/08/24/29818.htm
Look how these OU certified companies conspired to defraud by sophisticated adulteration. This is not just mafia cartels intercepting the oil shipments as reported in New Yorker Magazine, but allegedly the companies themselves including the parent company of Bertolli which is the biggest selling olive oil in the world.
http://www.courthousenews.com/2010/08/24/Virgin.pdf
This is the full text of the class action suit.
Is the OU just laying back and doing nothing while raking in money? Nice work if you can get it.
This Larry Welgrin must be related to a lady Dr. Susan Welgrin running a walk-in medical clinic in Nassau County who tells the frum patients that she grew up in Hillcrest. She is all friendly and smiles and tries to throw in some Yiddish shprach but she is also a snake. She tries to inflate your copay and illegally threatens you with a fake, unregistered collection agency that's really a front for her. All for the few extra bucks she wants to shake out of you. One of the Nassau newspapers had an article about her and her family fressing in a treifenna restaurant.
Cruising is another sign of our overwhelming need for too much materialism. We should be trying to bring Moshiach instead being such big consumers. We should be doing more mitzvos, improving on our middos instead of trying to spend more and more money in olam hazeh which could go to helping the very needy yeshivos and poverty stricken people.
C.S. or his associate is the one who needs to get his facts straight.
Which shul is he accusing of the ladies dressing prust? C.S. has accused and harassed various people without proof of writing criticisms of Queens Vaad but if it's a more recent victim of his, there is a sign up in that shul demanding that all women cover their hair & dress tzniusdik with a chart showing the requirement for a high neckline. Once in a while, a woman from a modern VHQ shul will curse out the place that they forced her to dress tznius when she visited. As far as some VHQ shuls go, this non-VHQ rov got up in public last year to say that he will never again go to a kiddush in some VHQ shuls because the women there not only don't cover their hair & legs but wear such low cut blouses that most of their breasts are showing. He said that it is assur from dina shel Torah to be in such a place. Maybe C.S. can unfurl his payos to cover his eyes in such "haylig" VHQ places.
There are OU powdered chicken soups made in Israel from Lipton & Knorr (Unilever). They are also under non-mehadrin Rabbanut.
Is there any chance that it is Rubashkin chicken as Rubashkin was exporting to Israel? Rabbanut had a problem with Rubashkin's beef but not chicken as far as I know. I think we can also assume that Rabbanut would not allow Seth Mandel's motley crew of mumarim to shecht.
Even if all these things have the worst possible outcome, the actual chicken ingredient is less than 2% of the powder and then you are adding water. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think it should be ok.
I have relatives in Queens. The Young Israel in Hollis Hills is considered an old folks shul so the younger crowd like to go to the Young Israel in the next neighborhood over which is Holliswood.
They are both Vaad shuls and there is really no where else to go so how is someone denying that it;s a Vaad shul the people daven by?
When it comes to glass houses no one beats "Motzee shem ra monitor of VHQ" AKA Spotlight &/or Vaad to expose and all the other kinuyim (ad sof haolam).
He Keeps posting his opinions about everything and anything but does not identify any.
He keeps posting his opinions based on unconfirmed 'almost certainly' fantasies and other chalomous that he concocts.
He associates kashrus with anything and everything that may or may not happen in Queens.
And then he starts barking like a 'kelev hachozer al kee'oh' and thinks someone is listening.
Nebach. The man has no life.
anon we r listening and apparently so r u
The Queens Vaad and bifrat one drey kop there is always acting like he's got something to hide (and that's because he is hiding things).
There are no chalomos but he will be dealing with a nightmare when some more protim become exposed. Yomim yagidu.
If it's only OU and Rabanut on the soup mixes there might be a problem ingredient besides the chicken. I cant say details without getting people in trouble but lets just say that there were complaints from within the OU that something is unacceptable and they were overridden and told to shut up from the top.
like the heter mechira? and the way they are NOhaig with terumos and maseros?
MGK is a toy of Rabbi PA Weberman of Miami FL>
On a cruise 2 years ago he approved sword fish as a kosher fish after consulting with an Y.U. Rabbi it was served.
REB YUDEL YOU WOULD BE A GOOD ENTERTAINER ON A CRUISE
YOU WILL KEEP THE OLAM LAUGHING WITH ALL YOUR IMAGINATIONS OF KASHRUS PROBLEMS
IF IT IS NOT A PROBLEM NOW YOU WILL MAKE IN A PROBLEM
WHY ARE YOU KILLING ALL YIDDESHE PARNOSOS
HELLO EVERYONE
Welcome to the corrupt world, where even people & rabbis who surround themselves day & night with torah bring themselves to corruption by convincing themselves that its not stealing if i charge the cruise for 5 mashgichim but i will send only 3 cause i-as the head-do the work of the other 2 missing mashgichim etc...
WAKE UP EVERYONE: the WORLD IS CORRUPT & is being brought down by Hashem. we caused it to ourselves & now are bringing ourselves to destruction DON'T CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU remove yourself from corruption & bring yourself success from hashem. for honesty is the key to success in everything, from business to family to friends etc...
this is what happens from Corruption. CORRUPTION BRINGS A PERSON TO DESTRUCTION. are we all going to learn from this case or do we need more of this corruption to happen? a person is only fooling himself when he thinks he’s making more money on a job because he overcharged a customer on something, BUT THE TRUTH is that every person makes the same amount as Hashem says on rosh hashana, the only difference is the gift of free will Hashem gave all of us. AKA a person can make $50,000 honestly or make $65,000 dishonestly & have $15,000 of damage to his house or car etc… BOTTOM LINE: Lets learn our lesson from this case & stop corruption now Don’t bring destruction upon yourself CHAS V’SHALOM
Or like the corruption from a hashgocho in Queens that says it is mehadrin standard when it is not.
On a Kosherica crise the mixing of kasher and trief as well as fleishig and milchig was noticed at almost EVERY MEAL. The MKS are batlonim and seem to understand close to nothing about Kashrus and to care even less. A shomer mitzvos would be ill advised to eat of the meals of this cruise operator.
Stop picking on the VHQ: its av bais din is the unholy sheretz steinberg who, with his shayketz son-in-law, asher shechter, protect the right of food stores to be open on Shabbos.Hashgacha by shechter with steinberg riding shotgun for him, intimidating vaad and other Rabbonim from protesting. i.e. bagel boss (the one in Queens formerly owned by frum Jews and closed Shabbos with vaad hashgocho, then sold and bagel boss took shechter/steinberg's son in law and opened on shabbos kodesh, R'L), Dunkin Doughnuts in Hewlett ( after the 5 towns vaad did not allow them to open shabbos), cold stone creamery, etc. This is the av bais din defending his son in law! What exactly surprises you about the vaad?

Queens Vaad's Peretz Steinberg goes running to visit Rav Elyashev with his son in law Schachter and shows off the pictures on his shul website. Someone should tell Rav Elyashev so that he throws them out. Bagel Boss is Jewish owned open Shabbos and making bagels on Pesach. They have the nerve to put the names of R' Moshe Feinstein and Rav Pam on the teuda as if they would approve. The Mirrer yungerman who caught Queens Vaad desecrating cemeteries to make money went to Rav Elyashev who then threw out Queens Vaad's Elchanan Zohn when he came to cover up. The yungerman says Peretz Steinberg threatened his safety to his face after he went public against Queens Vaad.

Oidchah...Again the broken record can't be turned off...Even by Reb Yudel.
If the record is true than so be it.
Rabbi Shain is demanding a lot when you consider which rabbis are being questioned.
Rabbi Steven Weil (OU) has a history of throwing people out of shuls in Detroit & Beverly where he was rav who were a political threat to him. That's what makes him a perfect fit for OU leadership. He likes hanging around to shmooz for hours with former OU convicted child molester Baruch Lanner who he does not deem a threat. Lack of kashrus is not a threat to him either.
"Rabbi" Marc Schneier who the OU-RCA was supposed to expel for getting on the front page of newspapers for his adulterous affairs but swept it under the carpet? He runs his own hashgacha in the Hamptons that no ben Torah should eat from. It was bad enough that the OU ignored how Schneier talks in public during birchos krias shema and his other conduct unbecoming a rabbi.
Rabbi Stevie (Shlomo) Riskin of Wink N' Stare Synagogue who waited until Rav Soloveitchik was niftar to say he "approved" the useless mechitza in the shul.
Rabbi Marvin Hier who sounds like a hypocrite. When Queen Elizabeth invited him to a royal dinner he refused to come unless all the kashrus was done to his specification. Maybe the British Malchus doesn't pay enough for "scholars in residence".
Rabbi Basil "Pickled" Herring who was last seen involved in big money deals with Rabbi Rafi Butler who was kicked out of the OU for the Lanner cover up. How many of those tzedaka dollars moving around are going to the defense of Butler's son who was arrested by the FBI for his involvement in the Spongetech fraud on Wall St?
You said Rav Szmerla & Manish Spitz are the only rabbonei machshir you trust on Pesach hotels. Far a hotel yo, ober far a shif nisht?
