Maytag double ovens

The Maytag double ovens have a common vent for the 2 ovens, therefore it may be a problem using it for Dairy & Meat {milchig / Fleishig}.

The so called Shabbos mode ovens & refrigerators should not be used on shabbos or yom-tov as the company intended.

All of the Major Poiskim came out against its use on Shabbos or Yom tov

R' Yudel - What is the issue with the refrigerator mode?

All it does is shut the light and the exhaust fan...

Is the Queens Vaad reading this? Did they find somewhere in the goodness of their hearts to let Bryks membership in the Vaad expire yet?

There is a very informative segment on the National Geographic Channel that seems to shlog up the sevoro of the only non-controversial posek who is mattir copepods, the Viener Dayan in BP.

I cannot find the text on the website but NG says, first altz yediah be'alma, that plankton, of which copepods are a species, are the most numerous animal on the planet, outnumbering people by a ratio of a billion to one. Contrary to popular belief, most oxygen is not made by trees & plants, it is made by plankton who photosynthesize sunlight and release O2 bubbles that float to the surface. The Eybishter created the world that we cannot exist without these tiny crusteceans.

Copepods specifically are the fastest animal on Earth. They can travel as fast as 50 of their body lengths per second. Translation: the cheetah is the fastest land animal that can run about 70 miles per hour. If the cheetah could run at a rate of 50 of it's own body lengths per second, that would be a speed of 5000 miles per hour.

The Viener Dayan taynas that he looks at a glass of water & cannot see anything, attributing this to not being nireh altz size. But if the real reason you cannot see a live copepod is because it can move extremely fast, the Torah zicher assers this. There have been several cases of live copepods found in Brooklyn tap water. They were probably close to death after journeying through city aquaducts but who knows how many fully live ones are not noticed because they zoom around at full speed?

I had also once argued with someone close to the dayan that copepods are semi-translucent (who says that the Torah is mattir a see-through sheretz) and that people who have cleaned filters say that they are much more visible when covered in green slime from pipes that accumulates in filters.

Does anyone have any information what happened to "Cleaner Lakewood"? My assumption is that the two parties settled it - anyone know the specifics?

Copepods are everywhere including in the freezing Arctic and Antarctic oceans.

Is something suspicious about this product certified by OK as kosher lePesach? Himalayan Sea Salt? The Himalayans are 100% landlocked so how is it "sea" salt?

There are different methods of extraction for non-sea salt. Although the final processing of this product is in the United States, is there any kind of processing, like adding anti-clumping agents, that would require an OK mashgiach to visit the Himalayan countries of (extremely remote regions of) China or Pakistan? Or is this like the Shufrah cocoa where anything goes for Pesach?

If you are ever in the Mexican resort town of Cozumel, beware of the Jerusalem Grill restaurant which is under a blatantly Meshichist hashgocho.

What do the hashgochos do about copepods outside NYC? There are over 10,000 places that also don't filter including major cities like Boston & Seattle. Do they require filtering in the cities where the problem is yedua? Have they ever tested the water in places where it's not klor? I really wonder about the OU manufacturing facilities all over the country.

R' Elchonon on Yevomos says that if klapei shmaya galya that a psak was wrong you still need to teshuva for following a mistaken psak.
