KASHRUS Alert: Post raisin Bran cereal- NPGS Bargain days

Update: NPGS says theirs was checked by whom they consider to be mumchim & expert in raisins as well, we are not yet convinced.

KASHRUS Alert: All Raisin bran cereals, including Post raisin Bran cereal's (even when it's on sale). The raisins are sundried raisins. All Raisins have an infestation problem especially the sun dried raisins.

Some stores are running sales on it, don't buy it.
Very few in kashrus are qualified in checking for infestation.
Don't trust the ones that think they know how to check.
NOTE: If they would use currants it would be a different story.

All domestic sundried & oven dried raisins are infested. Yellows may have less, nonetheless they do have. S. African have less, but aren't clean. Some claimed oven dried yet they were found to be infested, the reason being that they were first field dried (infested) then they finished drying them in an oven.

Post uses the regular raisins not the claimed "oven dried", which most raisin bran companies use "the regular raisins". Even the "oven dried" are first partially dried in the open field & are also infested.

Why would you show a photo of "kellogg's" brand when the issue is "Post" brand???

It's not sloppy reporting. R' Yudel is telling us to be madayek that Kellogg's has the problem and that's even if you can trust KVH for kashrus bichlal.

I read that Menashe Miller is once again in Israel on taxpayer's money, purportedly because R' Shwartzman was niftar? Shaichos? Is it my imagination, or he is there all the time, getting his picture taken with Gedolim? Seriously, why should we be paying for his trips, and it should be public record as to what he spends and where he spends it!

Why hasn't anyone brought up this issue? Salmonella gets killed at 130 degrees. Liver is broiled at 160 degrees. The liver has salmonella, so it never hit 130. What do we do with our china, now that I made a hot chopped liver entre and served it??

It's also legal for R' Yudel to file under Freedom of Information to see if Miller flew first class.

When the NY Post filed for Congressman Charlie Rangel's travel itinerary it was major bizyonos. The fresser ordered everything off the airline's first class menu to take advantage. The most expensive entrees and wines and he hoarded every non-food item on the menu at taxpayer expense. The Wall St Journal picked up on the Post report and wondered what was pshat that he even ordered sun tan lotion. They said a sevoro that maybe it was to make sure his chicken cordon bleu did not get overcooked. It is an old but true galechter that shvartzas like using sun tan lotion lelo toeless thinking it will prevent them from becoming even more shvartz. The Wall St Journal brilliantly conveyed the point without actually saying it.

Guess who did the advertising plan for Post cereals?

Donald Trump and his tochter who has gerus through Hershel Schechter even though she never planned on keeping Shabbos or even kosher.

There was a tumult about one of the team members that was kept off of any visible promotions. He complained to Trump that he is being discriminated against because he is fat. Trump told him, yeah because if I was Post I would say you are not exactly the picture of health. To Donald's credit, he did fire the fat guy a little later when he discriminated against the modern orthodox team member from West Milford NJ when he couldn't report to work on Yom Kippur. Donald was furious that the fat zhlob did that.

Where's that Queens Vaad guy who was busy misinterpreting the teshuva from Rav Elyashev about reporting molesters to the police?

Those with a non-Torah agenda at Agudah and Queens Vaad are reading into the teshuva that raglayim ledavar means something much more than what Rav Elyashev intended. One raayah to this is that they have never ever reported a single molester to the police. It's not surprising since they purposely set an impossible bar to reach which Rav Elyashev never did.

Rav Elyashev actually makes it quite easy. The Queens Vaad guy who usually acts like a noisy gragger on this blog is suddenly silent after Queens askan Tzvi Gluck went to Eretz Yisroel and was told by Rav Elyashev in front of witnesses to just report molesters to the police because they can do a good job determining if a crime was really committed.

Let me guess Queens Vaad ... Rav Elyashev is out of line if he poskens on molesters outside Israel? Molesters that you have an interest in covering up for?

Anthony Weiner, who resigned his Congress seat after lying about tweeting an illicit photo of himself to a 21-year-old supporter, has become a father.

The ex-New York lawmaker’s wife, Huma Abedin, gave birth to Jordan Zane Weiner on Wednesday, the New York Post reported.

Weiner, who is Jewish, in June acknowledged inappropriate Internet relationships with at least six women. The pregnancy of Abedin, a Saudi-born Muslim, became public during the scandal.

There is an international franchise of chocolate boutiques called Schakolad.

The owners are Jewish and encourage franchisees to get hashgocho.

Interesting considering the chain specializes in Kratzmach themes. Ober gelt is doch gelt.

http://www.schakolad.com/Holidays/Christmas/Chocolate_Box_with_Custom_Message_filled_with_Foiled_Chocolate_Ornaments./

Here is one of their selections engraved with Merry Kratzmach.

If you specifically want it to be kosher, you press the kosher button and it gives you a list of participating hashgochos.

Understand that wishing a Merry Kratzmach is avodah zarah mamash. The name of the chogger means Yoshke's mass. Mass is zecher l' Yoshke's blood which in their tiflus they say took over from the dam haPesach.

The hashgochos should be ashamed of themselves:

http://www.thejewishweek.com/news/short_takes/constitutional_crisis_young_israel

In a surprise move, the president & board chairman of the embattled National Council of Young Israel both announced their "resignations" Tuesday, and the organization’s executive vice president, Rabbi Pesach Lerner, received approval to take a 6 month sabbatical.

Some of those actions were quickly denounced as “unconstitutional” by Avi Goldberg, spokesman for a group of Young Israel leaders who have been complaining for more than a year about a lack of transparency in the organization.

National Council president, Steve (Shlomo) Mostofsky, said in a statement he would be "stepping down" at the end of the year to spend more time with his family & to place a renewed focus on his law practice. He has served as president since 2000.

The statement said pursuant to the organization’s constitution, first vice president Eli Dworetsky, a New York CPA whose family has multi-generational involvement with the Young Israel movement, would assume the presidency.

Rabbi Jonah Gewirtz, board chairman for the past 7 years, also announced his immediate "resignation". Sheldon Schreiner, past president of Young Israel of Plainview & the national group’s financial secretary, was appointed to "succeed" Rabbi Gewirtz.
In a statement, Goldberg pointed out that the Council’s constitution “requires elections to be held every 2 years, but none have taken place in 5 years. Mostofsky’s move to appoint successors circumvents governing rules & is yet another example of the board’s disregard for fundamental governance requirements.”

In light of that, Goldberg called upon all 120 Young Israel congregations to place their annual dues in escrow until there are “fair & open elections, the required financial audit is completed” and delegates are again able to vote.

A leader of the organization who asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals said he was surprised when the press release referred to Dworetsky’s selection as being in accordance with the group’s constitution.

“You can’t cherry pick when you follow the constitution,” he said. “Once you decide not to hold elections, you throw the whole constitution in the air; you can’t trot it out when it suits your purpose.”

Rabbi Lerner, who asked for a sabbatical after 20 years as executive director, said he wanted to pursue “special projects solely for the betterment of the Jewish community & the State of Israel.”

Neither he, Rabbi Gewirtz or Mostofsky replied to phone calls & e-mails seeking comment.

It was announced that Rabbi Bini Maryles, senior director of branch services, would be given the additional position of associate executive director to handle day-to-day operations in Rabbi Lerner’s absence.

Very typical and "Torahdik" of our "fine" community kashrus organizations to violate all kinds of issurim starting with Lo Sikom to silence any kind of free speech not in lockstep with the Reich.

Kashrus organizations known for pulverizing any dissenting voices in their ranks and often giving the 5th degree to anyone with just a minor suspicion that they may have leaked something to the outside:

The Orthodox Union
National Council of Young Israel / Star D
Vaad Harabbonim of Queens
Star K
The OK
Rabbi Weissmandel / Nitra Monsey

Some of these organizations also have paranoid and delusional tyrants at their helms who reach out with their choizek yad trying to crush anyone in the public who is or might be voicing uncomfortable truths about them.

"Spotlight and his friends checked out the bris."

Just an observation ...

Spotlight and his friends, when referring to Weiner's tinok from the Muslim shiksa (who Weiner is not related to lehalacha), called it a "circumcision".

But C.S. refers to it outright as a bris milah. Is that the policy of Paysach Krohn and the rest of the Queens Vaad? It's certainly good for business for more money making shnits with the Gompco clamp.

As a proud friend of Spotlight and anyone else who exposes phony and corrupt people disguised in rabbinical attire, I can say I was not at the circumcision ceremony but I assume they were not serving doughnuts, BBQed or not. Huma Abedin was born in Saudi Arabia but she is of Pakistani descent. Pakistanis are known for soaking all their food in putrid smelling curry. Curry has a nasty habit of getting into skin and clothes and it is very difficult to get rid of the stench. So if C.S. was walking around that day more shtinky than usual, smelling like he was sprayed by a skunk or something, you can bet where he was.

The modern orthodox crowd is getting increasingly fed up with the corruption at Yong Israel. First there was all the funny money moving around that the NY State Attorney General came after them about. They were all in on it including Chaim Kaminetsky who owns "Pesach with the Chevra", considered the most shpitz getaway of all, but mostly with not serious hashgocho and one time at a resort that for the rest of the year is for gays. What a makom "kadosh" in the spirit of escaping tumas Mitzrayim! Kaminetsky by the way is a big (in more ways than one) macher at Young Israel of Hillcrest led by Queens Vaad co-President Rabbi Dr. Richard Weiss. There was also the nasty stuff that Young Israel did to the shul at 5th Ave & East 16th St. They even padlocked the roof access so that Rabbi Wohlgelerntner couldn't eat in the succah. All the above was reported in newspapers & court filings on the Internet.

The Queens Vaad hypocrite says:

"Tzorich livdok acharov"

There is a maysah brought by Chazal that a kohain once complained about his chelek that it was shaped like the tail of a lizard. They knew because he did not use lashon nekiyah, even though his chelek was takka shaped azoy that something was up. An investigation revealed he was not meyuchas as a kohain.

But the Queens Vaad hypocrite trying to silence critics of the corrupt hashgochos, berosham his own, has this to say:

"chewing over the alte tzoiah"

That is 100 times more unclean and disgusting than the imposter claiming kusherre yeechis.

What kind of childish and primitive mind would even picture that?

He wasn't able to convince the hashgocho delegates at the AKO convention to go along with his "brilliant" scheme to keep all kashrus scandals a secret, so he must really be getting desperate.

Let's see how far your name calling and other dirty tactics will get you.

Surely not all oven dried are first field dried. So which companies do the entire drying process in factory ovens?

A rov who is rosho verubo in kashrus told me he thinks the major cereal companies do mostly factory drying because it makes more sense from a business standpoint.
