This is nogeah for chometz sh'ovar olov haPesach.

Rabbi Eliezer Fishof, the Agudah askan and father of the even bigger Agudah knacker Avi Fishof, had a brother Rabbi Mark Fishof. He had semicha from YU but for most of his life was the cantor & mohel at Temple Beth El in Hackensack, NJ. Rabbi Mark Fishof's son is Rabbi Joseph Fishof, also with semicha from YU and also the cantor at Temple Beth El, except this is a different Beth El located in Cedarhurst.

There are Foodtown supermarkets in NY with a teudah from Rabbi Joseph Fishof testifying that he sold their chometz. These supermakets grada did not put away any chometz, they continued selling it through Pesach.

Is Rabbi Joseph Fishof a frum guy despite being a Conservative chazan? It's no proof of anything, but he is listed as a kiruv worker by AJOP, although they do not call him a rabbi. We can assume that at least 99% of Conservative temples utilize a microphone on Shabbos. There is no accepted posek who allows microphones even if battery-powered. Could Joseph have struck a deal to eliminate the microphone?

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/22/business/at-wal-mart-in-mexico-a-bribe-inquiry-silenced.html

In a feat of investigative reporting, the New York Times reported in a blockbuster article this weekend about a former Walmart executive who came forward with evidence that the retailer had systematically bribed Mexican officials in excess of $24 million to hasten the chain’s rapid expansion - but that the company “hushed it up” and chose not to report to federal prosecutors on the violation ofs the U.S.’s major anti-bribery law, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Worse still, the man who the New York Times describes as being “the driving force behind systematic bribery in Mexico,” Eduardo Castro-Wright, is now vice-chairman of Wal-Mart. He is retiring in July. H. Lee Scott Jr., Wal-Mart’s CEO in 2005, reportedly “rebuked internal investigators for being overly aggressive.” Mike Duke, Wal-Mart’s current chief executive, headed Wal-Mart International in 2005 and was “kept informed” about the internal investigation into the bribery allegations.

The problem for Wal-Mart is that if the Justice Department does not come down hard on it for not self-reporting, other companies, including those that did self-report and paid big fines, will understandably feel self-reporting is only for the foolish.

A new surveillance system at Dunkin Donuts has prompted a slowdown in employee theft by 13%.

Imagine if Agri would have listened to R' Yudel about barcodes.

Someone would have to be crazy to eat Chinese strawberries. According to a general FDA warning about Mexican produce, the items that suck up the most water, and along with it the most toxins & disease are strawberries, lettuce & melons.

Because of who the Fishofs are, the roshei yeshiva had to go to Avi's chassuna. I heard R' Malkiel ask another rosh yeshiva if he knows where the venue is. Hot em ge'enfert "vaiss Ich nisht, oberrr mistomma nisht in Vayoiel Moishe un nisht in derrr Rrroyale"

The Walmart executives must have taken seriously the speech that Queens Vaad's Chaim Schwartz gave at the AKO convention imploring all the hashgochos to cover up any kashrus scandal.

I'm confused about AJOP / NJOP. I know that it split in two and one left Rabbi Buchwald's control to go under Ner Yisroel's control. I wouldn't be shocked though if either one of them had a Conservative rabbi doing kiruv for them. The Steipler ztl said Ner Yisroel is kimat like a Catholic school. It's one thing if bochurim are going to college but the Steipler was very upset that a yeshiva should arrange buses to transport them to a university run by Jesuit priests like Johns Hopkins. It was when Ner Yisroel answered back mechutzefdik that Ner Yisroel was banished from the Agudah for years.

""""" There is no accepted posek who allows microphones """""

Sounds like the 'know it all' KG guy again.

Zomet Institute does have a microphone that can be used. Of course not everyone supports or agrees with Zomet's inovations. But, to say 'There is no accepted posek who allows microphones' is the usual misinformation coming out of that PART of that neighborhood.

"Zomet Institute does have a microphone that can be used"

Even a yeshivishe maniac if you leave him long enough under the control of his modern orthodox masters will say bapeh molai that Zomet is oisgehalten.
