In case anyone has been following the case of the shnorrer from Rav Landau's shul who was found drowned in the Gowanus Canal, there are several unanswered questions. WPIX Channel 11 did an ok report based on the little information available to them. The problem is Failed Shmarya who as usual is exploiting someone's death to be unfairly mekatreg on the frum community and who as usual is leaving out several relevant facts.
It's unfortunate that VIN gave any recognition to Failed Shmarya but VIN did answer some outstanding questions in his report.
The niftar was the brother of former OU mashgiach Reuven Frank who blew the whistle on treif food in the Montefiore Hospital cafeteria. It's too bad though that Reuven Frank could not use a more secheldik mehalech of blowing the whistle besides Failed Shmarya.
If the shnorrer was murdered, it appears to be by the goyim who were using him to take over his photo collection worth over $1 million.
Failed Shmarya kedarko blames the frum community for not giving the shnorrer the $80,000 he says he needed so that mafia loansharks would not kill him. Failed Shmarya sees no tzorech that someone should sell part of a $1 million photo collection to save his own skin.
Many of Failed Shmarya's "leads" to report on shmutz in Brooklyn came from this mentally ill shnorrer who Failed Shmarya spent hours on end huddling with every week to get information that was often inaccurate. Failed Shmarya also has pathological issues, shnorrs from the public, and is thought to have a yerusha of dirty money from his rotzayich grandfather, Leon Gleckman, who was head of the Minnesota mafia.
Shocked that Menachem Lubinsky left open the possibility that mashgiach Reuvain Frank might have been right about OU coverup & corruption. The OU must have given him major petch over it.

The deli line is called Sabba's by the way.
They also seem to be the same company known as Twin City Poultry that distributes Empire Kosher.
