Is it possible we have to kasher keilim?
They realy have a big (covered-up) problem with the tzomes gidin at Empire. Rabbi Teitelbaum & kaj are asking their advisors for kulos in order to approve & not say anything.
I spoke to Yudel shain & he says he knows there are serious "tzomes gidin" issues by Empire, Meal mart.
Satmar moisdois in willy use dole lettuce with insects, because the salesman is a very agressive person & it's hard to say NO- A shandah oig aich allem, ets vet brennen in tiffen gehenim far deim
By raising their own chicks the have more control on not making them treifos with injections
Satmar must be using Dole special production with Rav Gruber.
Queens Vaad uses Dole with Star K or even no hashgocho at all. Maybe Queens Vaad officially doesn't allow the ones with no hashgocho at all but because they have poor control and stores in Queens do whatever they want in many cases, this is what happens.
I went in to the pizza store on Main St near Touro's Ohr Hachaim yeshiva. I asked the baal habos what lettuce he is using. He told me "Bodek". I asked him to show me the bag. It was something else entirely - Dole with no hashgocho whatsoever printed on the package. I told him it is unacceptable. He said he has a restaurant in Brooklyn that is under a hashgocho there plus Satmar and they use the same thing. I told him I know that cannot be true. He became angry & said don't think you are more frum that the yeshiva bochurim & rabbis from Touro who fress everything by me. I left the store and called the rav hamachshir in Brooklyn. He told me the Queens baal habos is lying and that Satmar does not even give hashgocho on his Brooklyn restaurant, they give on a commercial product he makes that doesn't contain any lettuce. He thanked me for the report, said he would keep an even closer eye on him in Brooklyn and mentioned that it doesn't surprise him what he gets away with in Queens.
