Remember when the Queens Vaad was caught co-certifying with a Reform rabbi and tried to cover it up by ripping his teudah off the wall of a Queens Vaad restaurant? That was followed up by an utterly pathetic Queens Vaad official blogging here several times that there is "nothing wrong" with plain coffee from a Reform rabbi.

Forget for a minute that the Queens Vaad was being mesayeya yedei ovrei aveirah and that it was not just a question of plain coffee.

Here is an article written by an official of the Coffee Roasters Guild that orthodox hashgochos require water filters in NYC coffee roasting factories.

The coffee that the Queens Vaad gladly accepted from the Reform rabbi is of a Queens-based company.

Another cover up attempt by the Queens Vaad falls flat on it's dishonest face.

What?

Did you see by the way that Henoch Teller is now on the all star guest list of MGK?

Norwegian Cruise lines provides Weberman’s Kosher meals, which are Glatt Kosher and certified OU and NK. The meals must be ordered a minimum of 6 weeks (45 days) in advance. These meals are prepackaged, frozen meals which are all served completely sealed in their original packaging to ensure Kosher certification. Plastic cutlery is provided. In addition to the prepackaged meals we also offer freshly prepared salads and fish double wrapped and cooked in aluminum foil. These meals are served on paper plates with plastic cutlery, but are not prepared under strict Kosher supervision.

Globex/International has started a new program of providing Lubavitch shechita under the supervision of Rabbi Berel Bell and Rabbi David Banon of Montreal. The beef and veal will carry the brand name “Anash”, and the poultry will be Marvid.

Only Lubavitcher shochtim and menakrim are used, with Lubavitcher
mashgichim appointed by the Rabbonim who supervise the entire process from the shechita until the packaging.

The highest quality of North American cattle will be used in order to combine high quality with the best in Kosher supervision. Fresh beef and veal is shechted and koshered in Canada, and trucked directly to the facilities in New York and New Jersey, where it is cut and packed. The poultry is shechted, koshered and packaged in Canada.

Welcome to the new and strictest Hashgach in Queens.

KQV

Newest strictest orthodox halachic policy.

If a product which needs no Hashgacha has another certifier, it is NOT kosher under any circumstances.

If a non frum person wants to eat Kosher, one may NOT help him eat Kosher.

If people somehow get kosher food into a non Orthodox area it is automatically not Kosher anymore (Even if it is double sealed).

If Orthodox people who wear not tznies cloth (according to Rabbi Dateboim and Eidah 124 standards) they need not keep kosher.
Politician who are not endorsed by Eidah124 may not have any contact with orthodox jews.
No catering is allowed on Fridays (even if ONLY FISH is being served, such as a bris).
No burials may take place in the boro of Queens, Lo Ploog.
Pikooach nefesh is defined as either you or your family having a craving for any food or drink.

After next 'lock up' the KQV will clarify more of these halachas.

KQV - Kranke of Queens Vaad.

The official policy of the Queens Vaad is to require filtering of NYC water.

You've painted yourself into a corner by defending the Reform rabbi's hashgocho on a NYC coffee factory, not realizing there is in fact a kashrus problem even if it's just unflavored coffee.

Sorry, there is no way out of it no matter how many insults you lob at your critics.

More KQV pesaks.

In spite of the facts that ALL hashgachas accept regular coffee without hashgacha we,at ther KQV say that it requires OUR ok to use sincw see rules above.

The Ksav Sofer's son R' Shimon Sofer was the mechaber of the Hisorerus Teshuvah. He gave hashgocho on a coffee factory along with his shver R' Shlomo Zalman Shpitzer of Vien. Someone started spreading a rumor that the coffee was treif altz oils being used in the production.

http://www.kedem-auctions.com/sites/default/files/133_4.jpg

In this letter, R' Shimon Sofer is moyche that they are lying. A sefer Maamar Mordechai was written about this episode and is discussed by Rav Goldhaber in Yeshurun 19, Elul 2007 & Yeshurun 20, Nissan 2008.

The Queens Vaad character who learned in Pressburg might think he's another R' Shimon Sofer, but the big difference of course is that coffee supervised by Reform rabbis is really no good.

(almost) "ALL" hashgachas accept worm infested fish against the psak of the gedolei hador

*** The so called mainstream hashgachas do NOT in fact accept regular coffee when it is made with copepod infested NYC tap water

You will have to come up with another lie that sounds more convincing

Is this the first time that an OU rabbi is backing a Conservative rabbi's hashgacha?

OU rabbi Lopatin even provided the haskama for Conservative rabbi Jason Miller to post on his website!

Rabbi Asher Lopatin
6 October 2011

Dear Friends,

Magnolia Bakery at 108 N State St, right across from Macy’s, has just opened its doors and is certified by Kosher Michigan, a supervision agency headed by Rabbi Jason Miller. Even though the Kosher Michigan label is based in Detroit, I am thrilled that Magnolia is under the direct hashgacha of Will Kaplowitz, a member of Anshe Sholom and someone whom I trust fully. I have concluded that Magnolia Bakery in Chicago fully meets the Kashrut standards of the Anshe Sholom community. All the products should be considered dairy, and may be enjoyed at the bakery or at home.

Magnolia is a chain that standardizes all of its products and ingredients, and the five Los Angeles stores are under the top-notch supervision of the Rabbinical Council of California. Those same ingredients are used at the Chicago bakery. Will has checked out everything in the Magnolia bakery in Chicago, and he confirms that every ingredient is under strict rabbinical supervision, including the hot drinks (with the exception of unflavored coffee and plain cocoa powder, neither of which need supervision). All dishes and utensils in the bakery were bought new and were never used before it opened as a kosher institution. In Los Angeles, as in Chicago, Magnolia is open on Saturdays. However, there is no issue eating Magnolia’s products because Jews are not doing the baking, and they are not baking on Shabbat for Jews in particular.

I have met with Rabbi Miller, and reviewed with him the strict contract he has with the bakery. The contract forbids the bakery from mixing any outside ingredients with the products they sell, and requires employees to keep personal food away from the kitchen or baking area. Even though Kosher Michigan has been supervising kosher institutions in the Detoit area for 4 years already, in Chicago it is a new supervision. I am impressed by both Rabbi Miller’s sincerity and earnestness, and his willingness to consult Orthodox authorities on halachic issues (he himself has ordination from JTS). It means a lot that his mashgiach on site is one of our most respected members, who is knowledgeable, observant, and in close contact with me. I will continue to be in touch with Rabbi Miller and Will to constantly confirm the reliability of this new supervision.

To reiterate, at this time, Magnolia Bakery in Chicago fully meets the standards of Kashrut of our community here in Lakeview. Please note that Ashkenazic Jews are strict about only eating Pat Yisrael – Jewish baked breads – between Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. Since the baked foods in the bakery are baked by non-Jews, one should wait until after Yom Kippur to eat their products. After Yom Kippur, I would personally eat their products, both in the store and take out.

Gmar chatima tova,

Rabbi Asher Lopatin

"of course .. coffee supervised by .... is really no good"

You heard it here first.

KQV's first Scam.

The KQV standards are that (plain - regular) coffee is no good.

So next time you travel please make sure that all coffees that you buy has KQV on it. (You won't find any other symbol on it.)

Rabbeinu, keep trying to confuse everyone so that they don't chap what Queens Vaad critics are actually saying.

The critics are only talking about plain coffee made in NYC factories because of copepods in the water - not plain coffee made elsewhere.

And of course there was a coffee bar installed inside the Queens Vaad restaurant by the Reform rabbi's coffee company and that equipment could have been exposed to treif flavored coffee, but we don't want anyone to figure that out either.

You need to think of something quick, like when you had Harav Hagaon R' Shaya Richmond running down there to rip the Reform rabbi's teudah off the wall, which even though he wrote it in lashon kodesh and tried to pretend he is orthodox, people figured out what he was.

"You won't find any other symbol on it"

That's funny!

Kimat every coffee has an OU or other known hashgocho on it.

So you have to wonder what kind of kickback the Queens Vaad was getting to bring some weird coffee brand no one ever heard of into their restaurant that was under the hashgocho of a Reform rabbi. And that the Queens Vaad let the Reform rabbi put up a real frum looking teudah until people started asking embarrassing questions, at which point the Queens Vaad lied that they didn't know about the teudah being on the wall next to their own.

Another KVQ secret exposed.

They tell every one for months and years how coffee needs hashgacha (You know the one with some kooks hashgacha is what the VHQ is relying on).
Now they change the game and say the coffee is OK under all circumstances, but the water is the problem.
The Head Kranke won't tell you that most coffee machines have built in filters in them or that each batch of coffee uses a new filter.
But if he did tell you that he would get more Krank and get committed again. So lets just leave him alone and let him have a good time blogging.

According to the article from the official at the Coffee Roasters Guild, one issue is in the roasting factories where there are no filters unless the OU or whoever ask that they be installed.

It's the Queens Vaad that keeps changing the story, and deceptively so.

First VHQ argued it's ok to support a Reform rabbi & to accept anything he presents to him despite all the problems with that.

Then VHQ lied that they didn't know the misleading teudah was on the wall.

Then VHQ lied to insist there never was a teudah up.

Then VHQ lied and claimed that the coffee & equipment is not in the restaurant.

When customers could still see the equipment with the coffee factory's name on it, VHQ had the equipment removed from sight.

" keeps changing the story"

The story is not finished until the KQV says its finished.

There is still more changes coming to the story.

We have to wait for the Kranke, from "KrankeQuuensVaad" (KQV) to add some more changes.

Queens Vaad Baloney Monitor said...

Yeah, well the story is not finished because VHQ says so many lies to cover up that it's difficult keeping up to document them all.
