"TREIF "kosherica" tours R"L- Lakewood joins them R"L

Kosherica cruises has been machshil thousands in not providing kosher according to any standards.

Why Do the  Rabbis sanction these non-kosher cruises?
Isn't it embarrassing that all of the Miami, Lakewood,  OU affiliated Rabbis are allowing this scandal

Can someone like Rabbis Weil (OU), Schneier, Riskin, Heir, Herring, Lipskar arrange an "OU" Hashgocha at least?

Why doesn't the "OU" send their own staff on the cruises to witness the kashrus disaster.
Does the "OU" allow kashering a Griddle with hot water only? from treif, back & forth daily from meat to dairy?
Does the OU allow working side by side within the treif kitchen with no barriers?

We are challenging the "OU" the world's largest certifier to have their staff do a complete "on-site" inspection of Kosherica cruises- GO THE ENTIRE TRIP, PORT TO PORT.

Can Chazonim like Adler, Avrohom Fried, Helffgot, Lerner, Miller, Lipa Schmeltzer, Stark, Flam demand that a qualified kashrus organization run the kashrus? So there might be at least some level of kashrus.

Can Rabbis Miller, Benin, Zahler, Levi Teitelbaum, Manish Spitz, Ruvi New, Etc be comfortable and vouch for the kashrus on the cruises?

http://www.kosherica.com/cruise_information/scholars.asp

Is the gullible kosher consumer being taken for a ride or to the cleaners? Perhaps?

Check it out yourself!
When one advertises a glatt kosher cruise, is that sufficient to join without any verification? Is the fact they there popular Rabbis, Chazonim, Scholars in residence any level of comfort, as far as kashrus reliability is concerned?

Does well known Scholars in residence, sufficient to give any level of kashrus reliability is Concerned?

Does well known popular Chazonim (cantors) sufficient to give any level of kashrus reliability is Concerned?

Did any of them check out the level of kashrus if it's acceptable?
Is anyone of them capable to check out the kashrus level?

We are talking about a cruise liner with some 2500-5000 + guests, a crew of some 1500, 10 + stories, with some 50 to 300 kosher guests among the other 4-5000 people.

Can someone like Rabbis Weil (OU), Schneier, Riskin, Heir, Herring, Lipskar arrange an "OU" Hashgocha at least?

Can Chazonim like Adler, Avrohom Fried, Helffgot, Lerner, Miller, Lipa Schmeltzer, Stark demand that a qualified kashrus organization run the kashrus? So there might be at least some level of kashrus.

Can Rabbis Miller, Benin, Zahler, Levi Teitelbaum, Manish Spitz, Ruvi New, Etc be comfortable and vouch for the kashrus on the cruises?

For starters, A kosher certifier would need at large crew of Mashgichim for these cruises, not just 2. We question if it can be done at all-sometimes it's just not doable.
********************************************************************************
“There are many halachos one must consider before deciding to embark on a cruise,” adds Rabbi Goldberg. “Kashrus, tznius, Shabbos, and davening bring their own unique challenges onboard. Making sure that one is keeping those mitzvos properly would surely be a zechus (merit) to ensure one’s safety.”

Although, presently, STAR-K does not kosher certify any cruises, it would like to present just some of the several questions that Torah observant cruise passengers must face:

KASHRUS: What arrangements have been made to accommodate kosher food preparation? Is a kitchen dedicated to kosher food preparation, or has only a portion of a non-kosher kitchen been designated for kosher cooking? Will there only be a small percentage of the passengers who are kosher, making an especially problematic shared kosher and non-kosher situation more likely? Are you confident that everything will be cooked before Shabbos, and that the mashgichim will ensure that the staff follows the intricacies of the Shabbos laws of food preparation?

TZNIUS: Is it likely that your fellow passengers will show a lack of modesty, particularly if you are sailing to a sunny destination?

SHABBOS: Does the cruise leave within three days of Shabbos or Yom Tov, which Chazal have decreed is forbidden if the ship does not dock before Shabbos and remains in port during that Shabbos?

KABOLAS SHABBOS: How will you know when to accept Shabbos since, for security reasons, cruise lines are reluctant to release data to passengers and it is difficult to know exactly where the ship will be at any given moment?

ELECTRONICS: Will electronic cabin door locks, electric eye automatic door opening mechanisms, and sinks and toilets controlled by an electric eye, that have become commonplace on cruise ships, create a challenge on Shabbos?

SECURITY: If you return to the ship after a Shabbos stroll, can you be guaranteed that you will not set off alarms or lights at the metal detector? How will you get around showing your ticket (which may be muktza and forbidden to carry) and/or passport upon returning to the ship, so as not to cause Shabbos violations?

If chalila someone was stuck in the midbar and lost track of time, the halacha is you pick a 25 hour period to keep Shabbos.

If you can do that in the midbar, it's not so veit to also apply it when you are gorging yourself on every taanug in oylam hazeh that cruise ships are famous for.

To the credit of the French, who are difficult to credit with anything good, many French citizens made a kiddush Hashem yesterday by being publicly moyche at a massive rally against toayvah that the new French Socialist government wants to allow two mishkav zachurniks to adopt children. The number of people being moyche was estimated by the organizers at 850,000 and by the government at 350,000, which probably means the real number was something like half a million.

If even the prusta French have the correct hashkofos at least in this area, how is it that Left Wing OU rabbis have signed the horrible letter inspired by Avi Weiss that two mishkav zachurniks should be allowed to adopt children & send them to yeshivos?

Shindler's frozen salmon fillets under the Volover Rov cost retail about $2 each.

When the label states "WILD CAUGHT", does that mean the Volover is not makpid on anisakis worms or is it false advertising, which may be the case anyway as wild fillets may generally be more expensive?

Sounds like what the lost souls do on Metropolitan Avenue. They pick and choose hours, non exsisting Halachis and fantasy kosher standardss

That's right, according to the Queens Vaad blogger, wanting to keep kosher in Queens is just a fantasy! And unfortunately with the unreliable Queens Vaad using mafia tactics to keep out hashgocho competition, that is the sad reality.

Yudel.

Why is it that you go after the OU guys on this cruise but are AFRAID to go after the Lubavichers who are there as well???
Is the OU just too nice. You know that they will ignore you but the Lubavichers will come after you? Or maybe
they'll do worse things to you?

Can you answer this right here on you blog?
Or are you afraid of that too???

When you or your 'holier then thou' mishpoocheh gets 'ah bissel fahr hingered' then the Queens Vaad is plenty reliable (as it always is).
The proof: They go to Queens Vaad establishments and not Burger King! - Guess it ain't too bad.

In other words he picks his hours (hungry or not)
picks his halachis (Queens Vaad good for me but not for internet readers). Picks his standards like which stores should have outside hashgacha or are better without hashgacha (like those other places in his area).

I didn't know that West Side Kosher distributes food to cruise ship lines too!

It's true that Lubavitch plays hardball. They bullied stores in out of town cities that they will be boycotted if they sell the Yated.

That all changed though when Pinny Lipschutz stopped being a flag-bearer for the fetter R' Elya & Rav Schach and started acting like the best friend Lubavitch ever had.

All of a sudden, Lubavitch is in love with the Yated and Yated copy sales went through the roof.

pineapple & coconut maybe, but papaya is a shayle of orla

On the topic of Gilligan's Island, when Pesach Lerner organized the junket to Agri in Postville to supposedly inspect kashrus & humane standards, it must have been the U.S.S. Minnow he chartered to get there

Because it was a "3 hour tour" where the rabbonim got so in gantzen lost, all they had to comment was that Agri is "state of the art".

OU Internal Struggles Leading To Showdown

01/15/13

Who’s running the show at the Orthodox Union these days?

Several OU lay & professional staff members say there is “chaos” & a leadership vacuum at the group that has prompted Harvey Blitz, a former president, to challenge the group’s current president, Simcha Katz, who is seeking another term.

No date has been set for the election, which was postponed last month. It is unusual for the group to have contested elections for its highest office.

Some officials of the group complain bitterly that Katz has an autocratic style, alienating some staff & lay leaders, and that though a lay leader himself, he is functioning as CEO.

Katz declined to be interviewed.

Rabbi Steven Weil holds the top professional position of EVP but in the last year has served primarily as the public face of the organization, speaking on Shabbat about 36 times a year as scholar-in-residence at congregations around the country.

Rabbi Steven Burg, who got high marks for directing NCSY, the OU youth arm, took over much of the administrative & personnel responsibilities of the parent organization as well, but was denied the top spot; he left earlier this month to head the New York office of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

“There is chaos within our leadership,” a key staff member complained. “We are a multimillion-dollar organization with no chief professional at the helm.”

He cited as an example that the OU at first signed on to — and later withdrew its support for — a strong statement by its rabbinic group, the Rabbinical Council of America, endorsing the conviction last month of Satmar chasid Nechemya Weberman on child sexual abuse charges.

“We looked foolish,” said the staff member.

Katz agreed to sign on to the RCA letter, but after Weil received criticism from segments of the ultra-Orthodox community, the letter was removed from the OU website.

Described by others as bright, committed & “an extreme micro-manager with a clear vision & demanding style,” Katz has made the yeshiva tuition crisis a priority for the organization, with a focus on seeking state aid. He's said to have instituted innovations prior to becoming president, when he was chair of the OU kashrut division, which generates much of the organization’s budget & is believed to bring in more than $20 million profit a year.

There are complaints that the lay leadership has been entrenched for decades, and lacks checks & balance procedures; the lay leadership, sources say, operates in less than professional ways, using funds to pay for travel of family members. (Isn't that criminal for a non-profit?)

Harvey Blitz was elected president in the wake of the Rabbi Baruch Lanner sexual abuse scandal at NCSY, in 2001, and is credited with helping to restore the OU’s reputation.

He confirmed this week that he plans to seek the presidency again, but deferred discussing his reasons for now.

Steve Savitsky, who preceded Katz as president, supports a 2nd term for him, while others are hoping Blitz will win & “clean house,” according to one frustrated staffer.

From Metropolitan and Woodhaven avenues to the Yellowstone park and Lefferts blvds, from the soaring mountains of the hauntingly desolate tennis stadium of Forest Hills to the gleaming tombstones of Mount Hebron cemetery, LET FREEDOM RING! And when we are free from the shackles of the Queens Vaad's tyranny, then and only then will we be able to say in the words of

There is plenty to eat in Queens if you buy with non-VHQ hashgocho, like at Rosenblum's where all the VHQ hypocrites love to shop instead of patronizing the VHQ stores who they shake down for huge fees.

It's a no brainer why Rosenblum's therefore has reasonable prices that attract the hypocrites

According to Kedassia, the latest makeup of the beis din to "investigate" Halpern is R' Sariel Rosenberg (Bnei Brak), R' Avrohom Boruch Rosenberg (Monsey) & R' Naftoli Nussbaum (Yerushalayim).

Dayan Lichtenstein (London) is criticizing Kedassia for putting out Rav Nussbaum's name when he says he has information that Rav Nussbaum has no intention of getting involved.

Many British rabbonim are accusing Kedassia of a cover up.

R' Dovid Cohn & his Adas Yisroel kehilla of North Hendon have already resigned their membership in Kedassia and are trying to start a new charedi hashgocho service together with other soon to be former Kedassia affiliates. A distributor of chicken has already expressed interest in going under the new hashgocho.

There were some letzonim who were accepted to BMG over 25 years ago before standards were tightened who started being menagen that Gilligan's Island tune for Shir Hamaalos before bentching on Shabbos in the dining room. There were a few chuckles or surprised faces but otherwise no one knew where that niggun was from and everyone joined in including the rosh yeshiva who was at the seudah.

When the song was used a few years ago by the newspapers to poke fun at the joint OU-Young Israel-Chabad cover up for Rubashkin, it was even funnier for those who were BMG bochurim back in the day.

Here goes 'Yudel logic' again.

A cruise leaves port from Miami and its the Miami Rabbi's fault.

Are those Rabbis partners as well?

Do they also do Hashgachas for Peasach in "south florida @ a Golf Course"?
Or is it only Lakewood 'svitzers' that give Hashgachas in Stockton and such other places?

Therefore don't waist your time with the OU, find some other hechsher to do all the dirty work. As mentioned, the Star-k is more than happy to get into the kosher cruise bussiness.

Fort not as bad as Star K running $$$$$$$$ after all the venues dropped by the OU for gay "marriages"

The answer is that NO reliable National or Local (South Florida) Kashrus agency will give hashgacha to a cruise, because it is IMPOSSIBLE to do it right. Some have tried, and they will NEVER do it again.

Oh, is the Kosherica owner a former canter at a conservative shrine?

Yudel would be the best hechsher for any cruise ship.

However, Yudel only posts, blogs and criticizes all.

He should get out of his comfortable home and go down to Miami and do the hashgacha in order to save the thousands of Yidden being "NICHSHAL" in Kashrus.

Thats what the Chofetz Chaim would do!!!!!

Thes cruise ships hold some 5000 people all eating straight treif food, mixed swimming, pritzus, etc.

The so called kosher (wannabes) are some 200 people. How one can expect yudel shain or any other serious kashrus focussed group to try and make a kosher program in this situation is very unrealistic and just fooling themselves and fooling all of the people booking the kosher program.

The chofetz chaim will never consider turning the treif chazer into a fake kosher program.

Why doesn't Yudel go port to port to check it out?
Why is he giving the dirty work to others?

Update: since Yudel first wrote this post about these Open Schmorthodox rabbis, Marc Schneier was finally thrown out of the Rabbonus by the OU and the Rabbanut in Israel has been trying to throw out Shlomo Riskin. They have some more ammunition now after Riskin just spoke at the latest radical feminist JOFA conference. Where before he was already ordaining women as "rabbis" he is now pushing for "dayanot" & for both shteller types to include the mayseh Eretz Mitzrayim women.

Please do not say "ALL" Rabbis from Lakewood.
It does not include You, Rabbi Shain.

Also, why are you pressuring the OU when you should be pressuring the Lakewood Hiachdis or You yourself, Rabbi Shain????

Why do you always push the dirty work unto others?
Are you Lazy?
