תושבי ולומדי לייקוואוד -עוד תראו שיודל שיין "צדק" UPDATE

Does a yeshiva that had students take out loans from the Federal program on their behalf (& to be paid back by student not Yeshiva) have a right to change which places the student may study? thereby possibly triggering an early payback? It may be considered מסירה? The yeshiva would have to go to Bais -Din first with each student.

Lakewood only cares about money- The Oilum are just pawns used to help them get it "all on the expense of your backs".

The meager kolel check  is a pay-off to shut-up.
btw-it's your money they got in loans (you are obligated to pay it back), etc and they are returning only some of "your own money" to you.
You will pay it back twice-and you have to grin and bear it.
you are ahead, with no checks, no loans, etc.

Decades ago there was an even bigger scam than this with a corrupt rosh yeshiva of a yeshiva that no longer exists together with a corrupt AARTS employee. They fed bochurim all kinds of lies to trick them into signing for the loans. They even suckered mesivta bochurim who were technically old enough to be in beis medrash. If you refused they started employing guilt trips that you are a shnorrer whose tatteh doesn't pay tuition and then climaxing with threats.

Many of the bochurim from those days are suffering tremendously with loans they can never satisfy. The government is never ever moychel student loans. Student loans are the one chiyuv that remains even after bankruptcy. The former bochurim hobben nisht ken lebben with the government always garnishing their hard earned money.

Ummmm - years ago there was a Sxxxxxfeld scam that had many people invest their hard scrimped savings to try to earn a few $ with their chasunah money or poor working wives mesiras nefesh money-they took this money from very poor kollel people and used it to pay off the previous 'investors' knowing full well that they could never pay them back, and were just stealing their money - a really frum Ponzi Scheme that preyed on the kollel system -

Stop already with the accusations - everybody let those thieves live....stop
making BMG crazy already- they do the best they can and better than most -

it was a rather small yeshiva. when the rosh yeshiva was niftar the establishment publications churned out the typical untrue nonsense about what a choshuva Yid he was. many gedolim could not stand him. he once came trying to bribe BMG bochurim to come party, I mean "learn" by him. while he was attracting somewhat of an interest from the amolidik bums in the Irv, the roshei yeshiva had him thrown out of the building

BMG Has Millions of dollars sitting in their bank accounts,BMG earns 10,000 plus per Bochur Through Tuition , Pell Grants , Govt , Funding , and Fundraising from family memebers Meanwhile Bmg Bochurim sleep on old worn out Pish-Achs Matrasses with little or no furniture or broken Furniture in dank, moldy, dirty rooms while the BMG STaff live in comfortable nice homes

There might be something to this al pi Novardok ober Lakewood supposedly defers to Rav Schach ztl who did not hold of this derech.

Ober fort, Yankel Pollock has been heard propagandizing that the dorm should davka be uncomfortable, that BMG is doing us all a big toyva, because if we get too bakvemt we just sit around becoming elterra bochurim with no incentive to become a chosson. He invokes himself as an example of what not to be heyos he sat around the dorm for 5 years.

In extremely rare cases of maybe one in ten million there is a way to get a panel of Federal Judges to overrule the government & be mevatel a student loan.

It goes something like even if someone nebich became blind and was afflicted with one additional disability that tzuzamen makes him unemployable, even that is not enough. He must have also lost his home and all of his money that his mishpocho took him in bedoychak that he is sleeping on their couch, not in a bedroom.

This is actually not a joke but published once in a NY Times article when they investigated what the criteria is.

I hope R' Aaron doesn't use this to give upbeat pitches that the loans are not the end of the world.

try $18,000 dollars for each yeshiva bochur or kollel yungerman from pell grants each year & you don't even start getting kollel checks until you have been there for 3 years already. that's $54,000 in credit towards kollel check plus getting an additional $18,000 each year you remain in kollel

SUCH CORRUPTION BRINGS THE WORLD TO DESTRUCTION

Pollock needed all the propaganda he could muster when forcing more bochurim into a dorm room than there are sardines in a can.

Mamash pathetic

I never had student loans when I was a bochur. Altz yungerman I left BMG for another yeshiva where veiter I had nothing to do with loans. I am confused by how BMG gets the money of yungerleit who do have loans. I remember the Legion staff chasing bochurim whose parents didn't pay tuition to force them to sign. Only one bochur the oylam said, a Brisker who akshined zich, managed to evade them. But if married yungerleit don't have to pay tuition, then why are the loan funds going to BMG instead of directly to the yungerleit?

R' Lazer ztvkl in Bnei Brak answered BMG's shayla in the 1990s that avadda nisht they have no recht to stop kollel checks for anyone already getting. This was the same thing that R' Chaim Epstein had already told them. The gadol hador was so appalled that he was even asked such a question that he proceeded to give it to them over the head mit a langa musser shmooz.

In the eighties I went to Bobov Mesivta, Even though my parents paid tuition the school took out student loans in my name representing that they will pay it back. I Got married in 1988 yet I still show with my signature that I took out student loans until 1991. Unfortunately The foundation of the Mesivta Is sitting on stolen money.
