There is a clownish am haaretz in Boro Park with the same attitude who was allowing one of his restaurants to serve drinks that are mamash nisht kusher. When he was confronted by a Brisker customer he farentfered tze nisht kli rishon so tze vet nisht metameh zein di kelim in der dish vasher. The customer went to rabbonim but there was the usual cover up from KIC / KIS who didn't say a word publicly while they very sloooooowly held the hand of the clown & begged him to behave. I don't know the Monsey kashrus monitors are any better than the Brooklyn ones to actually live up to their title ...
