The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court sentenced Dov Levin, 58, who confessed and was convicted as part of a plea bargain
According to the indictment, Levin studied medicine in Italy, but did not receive a permanent medical license in Israel, but a temporary license that was renewed every time. As part of his job, he used to circumcise babies, and in 2001, after the Ministry of Health received evidence of damage caused to babies during circumcision, it was decided not to renew his medical license.
Levin continued to present himself as a doctor and to conduct alliances
According to the indictment, Levin used to present himself to parents as a member of the Israel Mohalim Medical Association - a fictitious institution that he invented himself and had no members other than him. After winning the confidence of parents, in several babies he injected anesthesia even though he is not allowed to inject anesthetic.
