The problem is , the heimishe olam are convinced that products which have a hashgacha means it's also a better quality product, which is so far from the truth.
High quality nuts come with high quality insects. Price is yes a justification since low quality insects are not 'oileh ahl shulchan Melachim' thus you have a tziroof to make things even cheaper.
According to most poskim if not all poskim (especially the Israeli Poskim) you can not use this 'snif' to be matir the nuts totally - but it will definitely save you some hard earned cash.
