When 911 happened and all of the plane hijackings, " we didn't ban planes".

With the Major accidents by drunken drivers, did we ban cars?

  1. One major difference
A gun by its very nature is a lethal weapon
A car or a plane is not

  2. Cars, planes, guns, non-chucks, karate expert, etc are all lethal weapons.
Therefore, to get a drivers license for a car, plane requires demonstration of knowledge, safety, etc.

It's the person in charge that makes it into a weapon, or something else of value to humans, e.g protection from a deranged hijacker, gun, etc.

  3. If people would start using cars or airplanes on a regular basis to do murder, then they would start banning them.
    Sorry weak analogy.

Both the Buffalo shooter and the Texas shooter were 18 years old. For many states that's too young to buy alcohol and tobacco. At least treat lethal weapons like those at minimum

  4. The rest of the world, even third world countries, shake their heads in wonder. Check up every statistic this only is happening in the US
