Party planners are not only Shabbos problems they are kashrus problems in general. Unless they are Yiray Shamayim (not so often) and/or have a STRICT hashgacha (also not often).
The article should have also mentioned the Heimishe yenta planners who don't give a hoot about halacha even if they don't publicly drive on Shabbos!
