It's sounds great!
Lakewood based,
Backed by BMG,
Everyone accepts them,
and we party planners, can do whatever we want, no restrictions at all.
Party planners realized that the caterers also love the KCL, as they are free to do everything, just pay the protection fee timely.
Party planners are not affiliated with the caterer hired to do the party they are hired by the host and paid by the host . I once went to such a kiddush . I commented on the beautiful dishes and silverware sbe said to me they belong to her not the caterer that only the food was under hashgacha not her stuff .I left with my family and didnt eat I heard afterwards speaking to people that this goes on all the time thus happemed at a brooklyn affair under a very well known and used hashgacha . I called up the kashrus agency after shabbos they said they would look into it this is a very serious issue which i am hapoy u brought up .
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:33 this was (I’m using past tense because idk if it’s changed) the case in EY also.
ReplyDeleteI took a class from a big name in kashrus and he said he fought the eidah on this hard. The teudahs by the wedding halls say the food is covered, not the plates etc.
Do you need a hechsher on dishes?
ReplyDeleteyes what is the status of the dishes or silverware meat kr dairy who is controlling that is there a mashgiacb controlling the dairy amd meat dishes and silverware ? How do u even knkw if all the stuff was toiveled ? How do u know the dishes were only used at kosher affairs ?

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to see a teudah that states:
The appetizer, the main course protein are certified by us but not the soup, side dishes served along the protein. Dessert: only this ices but not the cakes and fruits. Also only the soup plates are certified but no other dishes. However the glasses used for liqueur and wine is certified but not the glasses for soda.
All soda is certified but none of the wines and liqueurs.
In fact I'm thinking of starting my own hechsher where these rules will be very specific but will change from party to party. (I'm honest).
I will probably be the busiest mashgiach in a town like Merto Lakewood.
So true at a party under a chassidishe hashgacha there was a sign all food is from so and so caterer we dont take responsibility for the bar and dessert
DeleteSo there was non mevushal wine waiters were opening and serving them at the bar and i will tell u the desserts looked too good to be pareve
A friend of mine once worked at a huge convention in DC. All dishes (brand new) were brought into the convention center from a supplier five miles away. Then they were returned (unwashed ) in sealed trucks to the supplier, where a Mashgiach was present around the clock to supervise the washing and sealing of the clean pallets of dishes for the next day.
DeleteThe chilul Shabbos scandal of renting the Eitz Chaim shul on East 13th to Spics & Shvartzas throwing wild parties on Friday nights was all arranged by a heimishe yenta party planner. Applying pressure to moderner board members who already feifed on the Rov didn't work. What did work to shut it down was thretening the yenta to be mefarsem on her all over Boro Park where she lives. Generally, the Brooklyn party planners that I've seen in action don't give off even a faint whiff of yiras Shomayim. They do give off major vibes of vanity,

ReplyDeleteJust because you could not afford her does not mean you have to bad mouth her.s

ReplyDeleteSaying that desserts looked too good to be pareve takes choished biksheirim to new levels. Next you will say that pesach food looks too good not to be chometz, carving station looks too good to be kosher, fried chicken that mamesh "looks treif" and I seriously wonder if your alleged claim that the wine was not mevushal was that you merely looked at a nice bottle and decided it wasnt mevushal .
It was not mevushal i showed it to the manager and by the way this is done in various places that the hashgacha onky takes responsibility for the food and utensils that the caterer himself brings in
DeleteSo you’re saying there was no Mashgiach on the job just a manger. Which means that the caterer took NO respnsibility for the Kashrus once it left his store. Since there was no Mashgiach there ( probably the host didn’t want to pay for it or the host wanted to serve homemade stuff and non mevushal wines (since no one was going to touch it except his frum friends.
DeleteIn conclution, you went to a unsupervised affair and your blaming everyone except yourself.
First of all this was a full fledged catered affair not a drop off with goyish waiters who would think to ask a caterer under a hashagcha in the tri state area that is under a hashgacha backed by more tham 40 rabonim that i would have to ask before going to the simcha about the kashrus standards i guess u are right not to assume anyhing .Let this be a lesson for anyone dont trust any hashgacha or assume they have high standards call up and find out before hand
DeleteWe were recently at a Lakewood Shabbos simcha. The caterer was under KCL Hashgocha with their additional new Rabbis on the Board.
ReplyDeleteYet, when they realized that they are short Shnitzel for the day meal, suddenly some freshly made Shnitzel came to the Simcha.
We were somewhat shocked how that happened?. It was discovered that the caterers worker went back to the commissary on Shabbos and fried some fresh shnitzel.
The new Rabbis are creative in their interpenetration of the code of Jewish Law.
If you know this first-hand it's incumbent upon you to raise it with the appropriate Rabbanim.
Deleteyou hope that they went back to the commisary to cook more i mean that in itself is really bad but even worse who is to say they didnt just pick it up from a wendys or someplace else !
Delete"Just because you could not afford her"
ReplyDeleteA Nasty as ever comment from 'You Know Who' who never has anything constructive to contribute. At least we know where 'You Know Who' stands, on the side of that infamous party planner importing Schvartz parties to the heart of the Yiddishe geggen on Shabbos bei nacht. There is avaddeh pritzus, narcotics & gunfire that follows the Schvartzes wherever they go. We heard about these Flatbush horror stories all the way in KG. One of the askonim who was essential to neutralzing that party planner once dabbled in the kashrus industry.
You still blabbeling about schvartzeh lukshin and laced bebblach. The result is still the same. KG diarrhea. The fact hasn't changed that could not afford the PP and that you are badmouthing her for no good reason.
Delete"Saying that desserts looked too good to be pareve takes choished biksheirim to new levels"
ReplyDeleteAnother hear-see no evil complex guy.
When someone at a Pesach hotel knew that the cakes that everyone was jumping on to devour like starving volfelach were episs too geshmak to be potato starch, he launched an investigation that determined that the pastry chef was disgusted with Pesachdik ingredients so he went to buy a sack of flour to inject some yummy chometz into the mix.
There was also a yeshiva with such amazing tasting chulent. The cook was moideh one day that he added butter because it was episs nisht onn dem.
Crown heights kashrus has dropped their hashgacha on agristar.
ReplyDeleteUrban legends have no bearing on Halacha. Butter in the chulent, or cats in the chulent for that matter, never actually happened, and if it would have, Halacha still doesn't change.
ReplyDeleteThese tumult makers don't really care for Halacha, they don't know where to find Halacha.
The bottom line is that party planners should be under hashgacha just like a store or caterer is if they are to be allowed at a party with their silver ware or dishes or what ever else they bring to a affair .. Wbo is making sure everything was even toiveled ?What about meat and dairy dishes and silverware control how is the stuff washed ? Where are all the desserts coming from that they supply or any other food they might bring in
ReplyDeleteThe Party planners only need hashgacha if the hosts care. Otherwise they are just like the shiksa helping or cleaning.
ReplyDeleteJust that ante much more expensive
"badmouthing her for no good reason"
ReplyDeleteYou heard it from the mouth of an OU mashgiach! A greedy yenta vus rift zich a party planner brengt Schvartzes to Flatbush habirah on Shabbos Koidesh. They are mechalel the kedushah of a shul, from what the sefurim hakedoishim explain that Schvartzes zeinen in the pits fin ruchniyus. There is gezel shinah umenuchah until 3 am when the cops finally respond to break it up because of a brawl, sometimes with gun shots.
But none of this the OU mashgiach insists is a 'GOOD' reason to criticize the greedy yenta. He uses it instead as a platform to hurl more insults at people he doesn't like.
The nasty mashgiach would have you believe it's not magiyah to the point of criticism & a hechrach to shut it down until the Schvartzes stand around tummeling about OU and Queens Vaad scandals. Now DUS HEISST what can be called KG Shilshul.
So if you make a party with no schvartzes ( Biased as they come) but it is a Jewish hall with mitzvah tantzes going to 4AM plus the traffic leaving after the 'show' that is no gezel shina eemenicheh. and when the opposite faction comes to protest a event made by their 'sonim' that OK, even if the cops won't show .
ReplyDeleteJust another page in the 'one you don't who's' book
Nobody renting Eitz Chaim on East 13th St is making "mitzveh tantz" biz 4 am. And there are no Satmar batlonim showing up to protest. They don't get that kind of heimishe clientele. What kind of fool would try to compare that regardless to the toishvei 'Hood having gunfights?
ReplyDeleteNor vos? Someone can never admit when he is wrong, not even when there is zero public opinion on his side to defend the machsheifeh party planner
Sun Mar 10, 01:54:00 AM 2024
ReplyDeleteWhy did he only speak to the manager and not to the Mashgiach ?? Maybe he was a Saineh Spy trying to set up this 'drop off' self catered party in order to keep new stories at Yudelstake ??
So the frim kollel veible who is trying to make ends meet got hired by your biased schvartzehs in order to keep the hood up and rob them of some mineecha. and she min hastam supplied the guns too.
ReplyDeleteEven the Marines would not go for this tall tale.
Incredible that no matter how mefursem & proven information is, if it's posted on Yudelstake there is always a fanatical sonei writing to deny it.
ReplyDeleteI am a long time Flatbush resident. The story with the Boro Park party planner bringing the Kushim to E 13th is 100% emess. The Rav of Eitz Chaim himself, R' Shmuel Friedler, was very outspoken while trying to get the Board members to stop it. Gantz Flatbush was rooting for him. It was even worse that a caterer was also bringing Kushim & Ricans to Rose Castle Willy & Modern Orthodox Kingsway in Flatbush because the gun fights were more frequent! The NY Daily News published an article about the gun fights at Kingsway.
So you mean it normal for heimishe catering halls to squeeze the catering hall for each and every drop of parnooseh. So why are you blaming the poor party planner. Lo achbar ganvey ela choora
DeleteIn any event your krimmeh logic finally exposed.
It's zicher not normal that an idyot is defending the lowlife party planner
ReplyDeleteWhatever illogical shtussim it takes for him to 'get' Yudel!

ReplyDeleteWow! FFer telling us or anyone what is normal or logical!
Its time for Mashiach.
Mon Mar 25, 09:04:00 PM 2024
ReplyDeleteWhats the chidush ?? There was no [party planner on this one plus the caterer did not have another gig the next night.
AND Yudel was not watching.....
