Why Honeydew Honey is not kosher?

Shellac and confectioners glaze are also digested by the insect,
and is considered non-kosher יוצא מן הטמא

Honeydew honey is made by insects such as Aphids, caterpillars etc. Ingest into their digestive system the sap from certain trees and then they excrete it onto plants,  that is יוצא מן הטמא, and is not kosher.

The mere fact that it's then taken  by the honey bee and runs it through their honey-sac "which is not their digestive system", can not now make it kosher.

Star-K and Rabbi Weismandel approve the fake "Grama-Switch", fouled up again DE JA VU

 Another Kashrus Scandal????

This is the latest alert regarding an oven model sold since 2015

 From: Rivka Leah Goldman <rivkaleah@star-k.org>Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2022 10:17 A

 Subject: Frigidaire FPET3077 Problem

Please alert any customers who bought the above model that there is a problem with the fan shutting off when you open the oven door, even in Sabbath mode.

In order not to have a problem on Shabbos/YomTov, you'll need to find a way to hold down the switch that sticks out from the oven (like a plunger switch in a refrigerator) which is triggering the fan.

Either find a screw or something to insert into the space where it protrudes to hold it down or buy some strong metallic tape (available at auto parts stores) or look for a strong thin magnet.

The magnet may need to be taped in place so that it doesn't shift as the door is opened and closed.

Frigidaire is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.

And now for , The Rest of the Story-

The California Kehila Kosher/Heart-K/Igud Hakashrus was owned by Rabbi Avrohom Teichman.

He sold his Organizations to the OK, not the OU, as he felt that the OK is a more reliable

Organization than the OU (and they offered more money and a job for his son).

The OK's RC for Food-service is Rabbi Teichman's son, contractually they can't have him dismissed. JOB SECURITY

Update on OK Hashgocha on Chinese Restaurant

Hi. On Tuesday 9/13/2022, I passed by a Kosher Chinese store on Coney island Ave called Glatt

Coney.

It's on Coney island between Ave. L and M. I saw frum people going in the there.

There is an OK symbol on the store's awning. I checked the OK certificate paper on the window and it had an expiration date of 8/31/2022!!! Meaning at that point the certification expired 13 days prior.

 1. Do you have any contacts within the OK to find out if the certification is still valid, and if it's not, why don't they publicize it and remove the certificate and sue to remove the ok symbol from sign?

 2. Do you have any contacts in Flatbush that can pass by and take a picture of the expired sign in the window?

If the OK is falling apart, the public needs to know before any further incidents not afterwards.

Thanks,

Moish

09/19/2022

Hi, just to follow up, I had someone check the store's window last night, and now there is a valid certificate hanging in the window. No way of knowing when it was changed, before you emailed the OK, or afterwards. There certainly was an expired certificate late Tuesday.

Was the OK unsure about renewing the hechsher that they didn't give a new certificate at the expiration date? Or was the mashgiach too busy to hang up the new one? One would think after the severe kashrus failure in Manalapan the OKs mashgiach wouldn't be asleep on the job.

We did not get any email response from the OK, kashrus needs transparency and communication. An attitude of we know what we're doing, or trust us and don't ask questions, is surely a red flag.

In this week's mishpacha magazine the was an interview with Fishbein from AKO, he claimed there are 4 establishments in Boro park owned by goyim.

 1. Why isn't this public information?

2. Do you know which 4 establishments, and are you at liberty to say? Are they strictly in boro park, or is he referring to the Boro park area with would include all of south brooklyn including Flatbush etc.?

3. Shouldn't establishments owned by michalelei Shabbos be treated as goyim?

4. Speaking of Flatbush, what's the story with vaad of Flatbush certification on food establishments? I remember years ago it was considered horrible, then I heard that Rabbi Goldberg fixed it up. Is that true? And if yes, is it still "fixed up" now that rabbi Goldberg is no longer around?

5. Which organizations can be trusted for food establishment certification in Brooklyn - Boropark/Flatbush areas?

Update: Re: Manalapan Kosher Chinese restaurant

https://dusiznies.blogspot.com/2022/09/kashrus-issues-and-some-solutions-by.html

1- The same owner also owns the one in   Cherry Hill, NJ and in Fairlawn, NJ all under the OK and approved by the KCL, by the mere fact that all 3 places are allegedly the same owner's family, the same hashgocha.

2- The OK says the rational for the  Nitra Ruv's psak for the 6 months only that requires kashering and not prior is based on some obscure rulings in the code of Jewish Law.  The Owner who is a non-Jew was a מסיח לפי תומו  and he is the פה שאסר ' פה שהתיר     not the videos. That's a stretch of the imagination.

Who was it that said that in the bottom of the boxes of vegetables, it's common for them to bring in the chicken and meat.

Rav Shimon Schwab Z"L on Kovod Hatorah (in Lakewood)

And to weather unpopularity,

And carry on the struggle,
To uphold Hashem’s ideals”.

Current Lakewood Kashrus situation

שומו שמים- והיתם קדושים- צניעות וכשרות KASHRUS ISSUES AND SOME SOLUTIONS

Reb Ahron Kotler, Z" L said-The truth must be stated-loudly, clearly & unequivocally, Even if the public doesn't like the sound of it.במקום שיש חילול השם, אין חולקין כבוד לרב

The Chofetz Chaim & the Rambam, בדיני שמים מכלימין אותו ברבים

Rav Breuer, Z”l said regarding Kashrus w/Chumras and hidurim, you have no kashrus & no chumras & no hidurim.

It is brought to you by Yudel Shain of the Kosher Consumers Union, a non-profit 501 © 3 Organization.

Because of the recent Kashrus catastrophes and the ימים נוראים, The kosher consumer is the only one who can correct the situation; therefore, you are not a שוגג anymore.

KCL standards- All of their Sushi places are run strictly by Asian גויים  , making $1200.00 @ week and they bring their non-kosher fish, Clam & other treif sauces with wine. So frum people can quickly learn the Art of Sushi. Unfortunately, only one store now has a mashgiach.

All of their Nori wraps are infested & are "impossible to check."

As soon as I gave up the hashgocha on the Manalapan Chinese restaurant 15 years ago for kashrus reasons, the KCL said for the past 15 years, "it's a recommended restaurant" עפרא לפומיה. So, of course, now they will lie about it.

All of the רבנים וראשי ישיבה who back the KCL are שותפים to the Treifos that the אדירי התורה  ותשב"ר are eating.

SOME KCL INCIDENTS - Treif cheeses, Bishul Akum, בשר שנתעלם, non-kosher meat & poultry, חלב עכו"ם big timeחילול שבת by their affairs, milchig Danishes w/ cholent, drunk Mashgichim, smoking on Shabbos & no Mashgiach at all, גוים have keys to the places & the Kashrus sealing  tape are in the גויים car, Non-מבושל wine at their affairs handled by גויים, there are many, many more episodes.

The KCL Mafia only wants the protection money, and they terrorize establishments that don't want them. If I publicize a serious KCL kashrus issue in a publication, the KCL terrorizes those publications . The food establishments are aware that KCL is a scam and deceiving the consumers.

They treat our אדירי התורה ותשב"ר as "secular Chareidim" R" L

ר' שלמה זלמן אורבך said people who follow my guidelines in kashrus would not have to worry about "Off The Derech" children.

The Solution- OU takes over all of the Food Service in Lakewood, with Bnei-Torah standards. Currently, there is a sizeable tri-State caterer only under the OU, and every moisid and others are comfortable eating there.

All food service establishments should STOP immediately paying the "protection money" to the KCL.

Obviously, the KCL would not allow a בעל שמחה to bring in their qualified Mashgiach. Every בעל שמחה must have its own qualified Mashgiach from the beginning of the preparation and cooking. The KCL is afraid that the host's Mashgiach will realize that the KCL is a scam, fraud, and façade. So, they have to protect their piggy bank.

Till after יום כיפור Eat at home and come to the שמחת חתן וכלה

The KCL is beyond repair; it must be shut down immediately, and there is no hashgocha on those establishments until the OU gets its people in place. Those that relied on KCL, Star-K, & Tartikuv can still rely comfortably on the OK.

Update- Rabbi Wei$$mandel to the rescue of the OK, with a pack of non-truths-see bottom

Rabbi Shain pulled his Co-hashgocha from the Manalapan chinese restaurant when Rabbi Don Yoel Levy decided the the chinese owners can have key to the restaurant. Therefore he had key with the blessing of Rabbi Don Yoel Levy.

The OK claimed that the had the locks changed 3 months ago, why because he was caught?

No-one bring in chicken in his pants pocket for a chinese restaurant, unless perhaps if they were wearing a "Bekeshe"?

Why doesn't the OK dismiss the RC responsible for food service at the OK just like Passaic Hashgocha did when they caught the JIN chinese retaurant serving treif.

Update: Manalapan kosher Chinese Restaurant

Ex-Owner of LA Kosher Market Is Being Sued for Kosher Meat Scandal

Re: Manalapan chinese express

Passaic/Clifton Hashgcha dismissed their Kashrus Administrator when the Chinese was caught w/ Treif-What is the OK doing?

When the Passaic Clifton Chinese restaurant was caught selling treif, some two years ago, they dismissed their Kashrus Administrator.

Why isn't the OK dismissing their Food service RC???, they must bear the full responsibility.

Manalapan kosher chinese restaurant- Was the treif meat & putry the only problem? NO

The restaurant used fresh brocolli, Chinese cabbage, etc. which are all heavily infested product.

The Mashgichi(m) called the (Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld?) food-service Rabbinic Coordinator at the OK numerous times, we get the vegetables clean from infestation. He ignored them- result "the customers ate infested product".

Finally they sent down their "make me a Heter Rabbi" Reb Usher Ekstein, the Mashgiach kept showing him that it's impossible to get the fresh produce clean, Rav Ekstein said try this way and that way etc.

The Mashgiach tried all of his methods but it was still infested, he turned to show it to Rav Ekstein who had slipped out the front door and left.

Yes, the consumers ate for many years infested vegetables at the Chinese restaurant, but it was "under Rabbinical Supervision".

When the Passaic Clifton Chinese restaurant was caught selling treif, some two years ago, they dismissed their Kashrus Administrator.

Why isn't the OK dismissing their Food service RC???, they must bear the full responsibility.

Our research concluded- Re: Manalapan Chinese Restaurant- This was going on for a long time

The unsigned letter from the OK
No one wants to take responsibility by the OK

The OK's RC responsible for these restaurants, must be removed immediately.

OK's letters of certification of food service is signed by a Rabbi Weinfeld, therefore he must be dismissed immediatly.

The OK should accept the full responsibility for the on going episodes at the Manalapan Chinese Restaurant.

Someones head must roll, perhaps more that one.

This is unacceptable of how the OK doesn't look out for the kosher consumer.

  1. YUdel Shain from Lakewood was the original Hashgocha on the Manalapan chinese restaurant and the owner was KEN. Reb Yudel then brought in the OK as it was located in an area that may have needed a National name hashgocha as well. Reb Yudel did not allow the owner to have a key to the restaurant.

The Mashgichim had a number of serious kashrus issues, they called DYL of the OK, to pull the Hashgocha. Rabbi DYL said “it’s lean times, so we can’t drop any hashgochas”.

Soon after KEN sold it to his Cousin Henry.
The family has two kosher chinese restaurants in Brooklyn, one in Fairlawn, (one in Elizabeth) one non-kosher in philly. FYI- There is a restaurant Depot right near the non-kosher restaurant in Philly.

Soon after that, Yudel’s Mashgichim left the place and were replaced with the current one.

Every year before Chanukah, Yudel put on his blog a warning not to trust the Manalapan Chinese Restaurant

  2. Reb yudel was there at least twice a week to inspect and check on the mashgichim if they are on top of the situation. Reb Yudel even forced the owner to dismiss his own mother as she was not complying with the mashgichim.

  3. Two years ahead Rabbi DYL of the OK decided to allow the owner to have keys to the restaurant.

  4. At that point, Reb Yudel notified DYL and KEN, that he’s leaving.

  5. The rest is history

OK and the chin'aizer-this was in 2015, just after Yudel shain left the restaurant- We would question the kashrus since one year later.

The OK labs wants to deny that they allow OK certified Chinese owned restaurants to have the keys to the restaurant.

There is a video available where OK Mashgichim that worked in OK certified Chinese owned restaurants substantiate that the OK does allow them to have the keys.

When the mashgichim complained to the OK about serious kashrus violations , they were told by the OK,

"It's lean times, we can't afford to drop the hashgocha".

WOW! The Chinese say "the OK is the way to go"
