"Grey-Goose" at all of their affairs, even though "Grey-Goose" is not on the CRC approved list, but it's on the Star-K's list - That's good enough for Rav Ekstein, Skver, Hisachdus CRC.
The OU, Kof-K, OK, CRC, AKO discovered some 2 years ago that the Star-K Hashgocha is a "Fraud", to put it mildly, but the Heimish accept the Star-K, we are not surprised.
Rav Padwa, banned all french Vodka because of wine issues for a few years already.
It does not appear on the CRC's liquor list as recommended or approved.
Note: The Star-K APPROVES Grey Goose Vodka, because Kashrus issues is not a concern by them. They also approve Red-Bull drinks while the CRC does not approve it.

At one point the OU banned all brined / marinated olives from Greece. They stated in response to inquiries that Greek farmers have been caught many times cheating with wine for flavor enhancement.
Nowadays if you ask the OU about it & why these olives are back in the $ revenue $ pile, you get a mouthful of muddled beating around the bush.

What changed? Could it be there was too much of a yetzer horah to resist when they saw Star K jump in head first to lap up the revach from Greek exports like a bunch of thirsty puppies?
Why is it hard to find hard cheeses with a reliable hechsher? I dont think there are any ou or chaf k.
The Star-k will have serious issues when MOSHIACH comes, as moshiach will permit the "chazer" only, not the other Star-K treif products.

Open Falshodox koifrim don't believe in Seder Devorim MiSinai, among other things. One of their certifiers in New England allows all kinds of maacholim assurim for sure, I think gevinas akum among them. Kashrus personalities have told me they do not trust for a second the cheesemeister "rabbi" in Riverdale & are troubled by the OU endorsing him.

The initiative to convert production in the Munich HQ to kosher came from Steven Langnas, community rabbi in Reichenbachstrasse. He asked Hofpfisterei if there's interest in bread certified kosher. The reason's obvious. Rabbi Chitrik explains: “Hofpfisterei's an organic bakery, easier to make kosher. "Currently most breads from Munich are kosher certified. The original range was expanded after the production changeover was complete. 8 years ago the rabbi of Nuremberg, Eliezer Chitrik, found out of the facility in Lauf. He contacted Mr. Kornek to clarify if kosher could also be set up there. As a result, Kornek went to Munich to find out about general conditions of kosher production & to have a “very productive conversation” with Rabbi Langnas. Rabbi Chitrik adds: "We worked with Rabbi Elias Dray, then of the Munich rabbinate responsible for kashrut. With Hofpfisterei, it was agreed the bakery in Lauf should also produce kosher with uniform certification under the Munich Rabbinate." Rabbi Pinchas Leibush Padwa of Amsterdam was involved in the planning. Kornek describes the deep impression Rabbi Padwa made on him: “I never met a person who had so much specialist knowledge in the field of bakery. He knew everything. We went through production together (Kornek, Rabbi Dray, Rabbi Chitrik) & he saw at first glance what had to be changed to get certified. Everything was put in writing. It took a year from checking ingredients to feasibility to implementation. If a step failed, a viable way was always found." One solution, Rabbi Dray explains, was stipulating non-kosher, milky bread in Lauf go in production before the end of the week so kosher product lines avoid non-kosher. Rabbis Chitrik & Dray made frequent visits to clarify questions. Rabbi Padwa was present again & again, supported everyone with his immense expertise." It was very cooperative, good collaboration, which continues to this day with different personnel," says Kornek. Rabbi Chitrik points out: “Since 2013, kosher pretzels are made, frozen & delivered to branches for baking. Because the branches can't be checked, the pretzels are kosher, but not certified. Kehillos can pick up frozen dough & bake them kosher." Bread from Munich & pastries from Lauf & der Pegnitz is Pat Yisrael.
In Lauf, the ovens are switched off every Friday. Unfortunately, it's not possible to use the Shain System there. The Shain System (named after its inventor Rabbi Yehuda Shain) makes it possible to monitor production remotely & to switch on the ovens this way. For this, Rabbi Chitrik drives to Lauf every Sunday & switches the ovens on manually.
Kornek tells, smiling, an anecdote: “Many employees never saw Orthodox rabbis & were astonished by the unusual appearance. They ask: Mr. Kornek, what kind of men are they with such long beards? What were they looking for? Why come in with a long beard? For hygiene & risk of foreign bodies in baked goods, only with short beards or beard protection can enter. Of course, the staff was told the beards are rabbis for certification." Meantime, employees of Hofpfisterei Munich, Lauf & Grimminger got used to black-clad, bearded men. Hofpfisterei uses several channels to sell kosher: 163 branches, 700 retail stores in southern Germany offer Pfister baked goods & bread can be shipped nationwide
There hasn't been any documentation showing definite use of wine. All that has been shown is for a single brand, Grey Goose. Unless you have documentation, you have an unsubstantiated claim. as they say, empty barrels make the most noise.

Star-K did not offer the boss water when he once crashed in for a meeting to give them Hellul.
The boss thus claims that Star-K are moavites and banned - at least the men.
Unfortuanlly Reb Yudel is showing his age or telling us that he can't read.
CRC site ALLOWS it, the last We saw.
But Reb Yudel is still justified for posting this: He's bashing the Star-K for the Nth time, which more important then the truth.

The unflavored also, and all French Vodkas have wine derivatives in them.

Yes. I saw that the unflavored Grey Goose even has a Hashgacha. Only the VX or flavored has an issues.
R' Yudel please expound if you know something different than the CRC. And why did you not inform them?
Plain Gray Goose Unflavored Vodka which is what most parties use IS YES recommended.
As usual, " ..some got access and was able to verify..." is only available to Reb Shlit'a. None of the other liquor Hashgacha professional have access to that 'someone' Information.

The CRC wouldn't listen to the info that Reb Yudel has.
The CRC wouldn't post that Red-Bull is not recommended, because they are afraid of the Sta-k.
They keep on accepting Dr. Pepper also, even though....
Maybe they did listen but they investigated and concluded not as Rabbi Yudel.
Some Red Bull have a hashgacha from some European agency.
You can only see Dr. pepper if you have decent insurance or Medicaid.
Only Red Bull regular and Diet are certified by London Federation as in Moireinu Horav feivel Zimmerman, one of Yudel favorite hand picked gaon and moireh hoirooah.
I dont understand why altogether are we allowed to drink any alcoholic beverage that doesnt have a hashgacha on it ? It should be just like any other food and drink that one should not eat or drink without having a hashgacha on the package.
