Reb Noson Zvi Finkel, the Mir Rosh Yeshiva, (he may have not taken the gelt in the first place, due to the source-aledgedly blood-money) would have given the Ductor Kasriel back his Million dollars, told everyone not to use his Kolel, Shul, etc. Banned all from attending his Chol Hamoed carnivals and his other entertainment, publicity, AKA= Hellenism, etc.
He is to understand as Reb Shneuer said, "Judaism religion is not for sale".

An Update on the Crisis of Female Military Conscription in Israel- By Binyomin Feinberg
1. URGENT ALERT: Ora bas Aliza, a national-religious woman of Ashdod - now 27 years old - is presently languishing in Israeli Military Jail Four, according to late word we received this morning, right before Shabbos in Israel.
2. Reportedly, after civil police recently stopped her, Ora was transferred to and incarcerated by Military Police - over a slight delay in submitting her Religiosity- certification ("Tatzhir Dat") -- an astounding TEN YEARS ago!
3. The "Tatzhir Dat" is the standard "religiosity"-certification document required by the Army to exempt a girl from military service on religious grounds. It used to be unheard of for any religious girl to be arrested for simply being late in sending in her documentation. But recently, numerous innocent religious girls have been languishing in military prison, often under brutal conditions, with the reason/ pretext that the Army didn't receive their religiosity certification on time. In actuality, there are probably many more such girls than we know of. Some of those may have ultimately succumbed to pressure, and enlisted in the Army. Escalating the conscription of religious girls is the apparent goal of this harsh treatment of non-violent, religious girls.

Alert! Israeli produce in the market- Tithing required
During the last week or so, the market in New York/New Jersey has seen the arrival of colored
peppers from Israel. One should separate terumah and Maaser and Maaser Sheini in the approved manner. This year is the 5th year of the Shemita cycle and is therefore a year of Maaser Shaini, not Maaser Ani.
Our observations show that most red and orange (and sometime yellow) ORGANIC peppers at this time of the year are from Eretz Yisrael, but one should look for the sticker. Green peppers are seldom from Eretz Yisrael. If past years are anything to go by regular colored peppers from Israel will come in a couple of weeks.

Fairway has organic peppers from Israel at this time, but not regular non-organic. Israeli peppers have also been seen at Trader Joe, Shoprite and West Side Markets.
Needless to say, professional mashgichim in food service situations should check the cases of produce coming into commissaries.
In retail stores, there are sometimes mixtures in the same bin, and a sheila should be asked if someone has purchased peppers of these types and does not see a label, that would create a multiplicity of Sfaikos and should be brought to a competent halachic authority.

Alert! Many are of the mistaken opinion that Hydroponically grown vegetables do not have any issues with infestation. Bodek among other are selling un-certified as kosher just because they are hydroponically grown.

How much business will Bingo lose if they don't have Ekstein? "none".

Going to Bais Din- some of the pitfalls, what are your options?
A Bais-Din that encourages "Toi'anim".
A Bais Din that Does not allow "Toi'anim", but do allow lawyers members of the bar.
A Bais that charges by the hour or part thereof.
A bais Din that charges a flat fee, or does not charge at all.
A Bais Din that has a review process, where it sent to another outside, i.e. Eretz Yisroel Bais Din for review (We are not refereeing to a "Ni'talis Yu'dayim" Botei-Dinim"- where one hand washes the other).
A Bais Din that does not allow for review and will not agree to a "Ba'meh-dan'tuni".

In the USA, a Toen needs no credentials, just a shingle and "chutzpah", doesn't even have to know the code of Jewish law. Their motto is "if you can't convince them, just confuse them with …"
Most all American insist on using a Toen, because they bring the cases to the Botei Dinim, they draw out the hours, the unneeded multiple sessions.
And no Appeal process by another Bais Din nor a peer review.
These days you have to be wealthy to go to a Din Torah.
There are some reputable, qualified Botei Dinim that charge a minimum, e.g. $500.00 for a choshen Mishpat case, no "toe'anim", peer review by an Israeli Bais din or they'll give you "ba'meh-Dan'tuni".
