Most Rishonim & Achronim do not asser repeating a government enforcement action that was already made public. Being dan lekaf zechus is a different issue. But there is less room for kaf zechus here as Pomegranate was sanctioned for not having a license to manufacture. Either they have a license or not which is verifiable. And because pictures were taken of unsafe, illegally packaged items. Maybe you can klerr if the State officer overcounted how many bugs & pieces of rodent doodoo were contaminating the food production.

Instead of dedicating checkout lines for Pesach like everyone else does, they expect you to complain that the conveyor belt has chumetz residue. Then they pull out a flattened box to put on top of the conveyor. Except that the Mexican arbetters indiscriminately place this "mechitza" any which way so that a side of the box that had chumetz stuck to it from a previous customer is now flipped over to contaminate your Pesachdik groceries.
No Newday customer is buying anything pesachdik for pesach itself. They are all in Orlando and ordered the entire pesach from the local caterers which are all good since Yudel had nothing bad to say about them.

The chometz system might have been shtelled aveck lichvoid Chaim Schwartz, the YSV boy now at Queens Vaad who grew up around the corner from Newday. R' Shneur may not have been in favor of Empire Poultry but I recently heard from BMG old timers he was in favor of Rubashkin's father. Did he not know that the rosh yeshiva of Lubavitch in Vilna, Rav Ushpol, allegedly had a problem with the elder Rubashkin? Or is that long running rumor even true? It's said Rav Ushpol instructed not to eat from Sholom Mordechai's father

Shmulie Hartstein (who lost the rat race for Agudah COO against Avi Schnall so he started his own org) approached Rabbi Bender with an idea: to teach bachurim the basics of civics and how government functions. Rabbi Bender immediately saw the value & referred it to Rabbi Dachs, principal of Yeshiva Darchei Torah. Together with Hartstein & Kol Yisroel, they developed a serious program for the entire 11th grade.
All 75 bachurim participated in every session. The first session was given by Shmulie Hartstein on the importance of getting involved a& understanding how government impacts our communities. Former NY Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder gave a class on state government, followed by Maury Litwack from Modern Orthodox org Jewish Voters Unite speaking about the importance of civic engagement. The final session was delivered by ex-Congressman & current Inspector General at the US Dept of Labor Anthony D'Esposito
Hartstein wants all yeshivos to follow Bender’s lead

Yudel is not a straight shooter. First he says OU meat is acceptable then he says AGRI and SBD (both under OU) are not.
