ONIONS have thrips. Thrips are being found now in onions. Must cut off from both top & bottom 3/8 " and check for non firm onion as they are more p[rone. Also the ones with double set of rings are alsommore prone to infestation.

Are you saying that if there are loose parts it should not be used OR that it must be checked better??

Daas TorahMay 24, 2012 5:54 PM Rav Sternbuch doesn't read my blog. I do sometimes print out news articles and essays that appear on the blog and give it to him to read. He is an avid reader. I used to do it on a weekly basis - now it is one or twice a month. There have been occasional complaints to him - such as when I posted article describing Troppers depravity - but he has never criticized me and he told me he trusts my judgment.
Rav Sternbuk TRUSTS him to post such a article!!!!
Something is wrong here. or is the site a fraud???????
Rabbi Eidensohn has written in the past that Rav Sternbuch has people monitoring his blog and that he sometimes has to remove material that the rav objects to. Is RDE contradicting himself this week or now that the filthy Tropper parsha is over does Rav Sternbuch no longer feel a need to monitor the site?
There is a different problem lately. RDE has started bashing all gerim, even gerei tzedek. When his more learned readers have objected and brought sources that disprove his agenda, he argues forcefully but does not seem to concede. From what I have read, he lost the argument every time except for maybe once but his defense in that case was unsubstantiated.

"check for loose not firm onion"
That is bad grammar and does not make sense. Do you mean that firm onions don't have the problem?
" the ones with double set of rings are more prone to infastation (correct spelling is infestation)"
Why?
