How many "transgressions" will you violate with the custom of eating the following on Rosh Hashona?
If you were not trained, shown and don't know how to identify the various insects, clean properly, etc
you should not use the following items for Rosh Hashona & all year.

The bugs themselves are a siman so that the hashgochos should have another prosperous year of selling infested items.
Rav Heinemann's novel siman of raisin + celery for a "raise in salary" is presumably not sourced from uninfested Aidah raisins.
The key to Rosh Hashana is to see if you yourself, Your Neshamh, Your Goof has infestation.
Check it for thrips and gripes.
Check for scale insects and scale gouging. Look for leaf minors and turn it into a new leaf for the coming year.Look for maggts and switch to the maggid.
Ok, so this year I skipped over the ready made platter from Yechiel Babad and bought the one under Shinover hashgocho who you say is a reliable hashgocho.

Does Belsky hold that worms in fish are a siman?
Can't understand you, Reb Yudel.
Kidney patients that are unknown are given tihillim space on your blog (a great chesed on your part) but when the mashgiach needs some tihillim desperately you go blank?!?!?!?!?
Rav Shia Katz (Magrov Rav) and Rav Usher Ekstein (Belz Dayan) realize that the expertise of infestation and the methods to check and clean has advanced so much in the past few years, that it has left others in the dust.
The worlds' acknowledged expert is and has been Rav Moshe Vaye. His methods are very well thought out, tested and proven over time.
Rav Moshe Vaye is in full control of the Positive companies' of producing insect free vegetables. Rav Moshe Vaye has undertaken to be in full control (together with his trained proteges) of Kosher garden Herbs.
Therefore the most reliable ones that are in the market is Positive vegetables and Kosher Garden Herbs, etc.
Rav Shia Katz who gives the hechsher on all Postive products by relying on Rav Moshe Vaye and his trained mashgichim told me he does not recommend eating Kosher Gardens broccoli or herbs. Can you explain this? Isn't Kosher Gardens a Positive product?
I realize that Rav Shia Katz himself is not the expert on infestation and he he is relying on Rav Moshe Vaye and his trained individuals, that's what Rav Katz is relying on at Positive products. Those same Rav Vaye and trained mashgichim are supervising Kosher Garden Herbs and vegetables.
It must then be a personal political statement with no basis in fact, thereby being "machshil" others to use infested herbs and vegetables.
Rav Yudel, how do you print that comment?? Rav Katz is a big expert on toloim and he is very involved in what goes on at Postiv. He also goes to Mexico many times a year and inspects the greenhouses. I know that for a fact. Rav Vayya relies on him and Rav Ekstein and almost never goes to Mexico. If we would rely blindly on Rav Vayya and his mashgichim then he would be giving a hechsher on Kosher Gardens.
Rav Katz perhaps used to have some yedyas in Toloiyim once upon a time. Eden doesn't use him any more, why? cause he's not a mimcha. He always used to go with like Mendy Einhorn to Mexico because he himself was very limited on hand knowledge in that field.
Rav Moshe Vaye does not rely on him, as he wasn't trained by Rav Vaye. I asked yudel if he himself knows the hands on of toloiyim including milbin? he says yes. Yudel is willing to be tested together with Rav Shia Katz, Magrov Ruv by Rav Vaye, Dovid Goldstein, Mendy Einhorn.
If Rav Katz passes the test and yudel doesn't he'll give $500.00 to Tzedakah of Rav Katz's choice.
Let him know the time & place.
Therefore Kosher Garden is the only insect free, politics free, herbs etc to use with the current hechsheirim on it. כזה ראה וקדש

Ontario red cabbage, has been found to contain thrip infestation. Until further notice, we recommend the all red cabbage undergo the following 10-step procedure: 1. Discard loose outer leaves. 2. Cut head into 4 quarters. 3. Peel off the outer leaf of one of the quarters directly over the light box. 4. Gently tap the leaf on the lightbox. 5.Examine for small white moving thrips. 6. If even one insect is found, the cabbage may not be used. 7. If no insect is found then repeat steps 3-5 again and then again a third time. 8. If no insects are found on the light box then you may proceed to shred or cut the leaves. 9. Soak the leaves in a soapy solution and rinse well. 10. Check the water for thrips. The other option would be to purchase pre-washed red cabbage with a reliable kosher certification.
R' Yudel, does puraying Strawberry's in a blender make the drink consumable?
If you cut off the green top, soak berries in soapy solution for 4-5 minutes, rinse well-do this 3 times, then if you puree to a complete liquid, you may use.
Even if you don’t check to take out of chazaka?
Why are any dried herbs with a hechsher ok to use?
Don't bugs disintegrate when the herbs are dried?
Are "kosher gardens" and "positive" brand names. If so, They should have the first letters capitalized.
Didn’t you say that the pureeing part is אין מבטלין איסור לכתחילה????
And if there are no insects there after the triple wash then why purée them???
Triple wash NEVER gets rid of all the insects.
Remember that they use recirculated water with all of the insects in the water wash.
Positive and kosher garden are the only ones that filter their water between washes.
So why can you purée it with bugs לכתחילה
One may NOT puree it as there is definitely infestation, therefore אין מבטלין איסור וכו'
The wanah be's think that insects must be the size of an elephant in order to be אסור.
When Moshiach comes the חזיר will become permitted. The will become a מעלה גירה, as to permit todays חזיר we don't need mashiach for that as plenty of "wannah be's" did that already.
With selective reading - you missed Yudel’s comment 10:40 last Friday where he seems to OK it.
How about black eyed peas or raisins etc with the VGG hashgacha ?
