The underlying problem with Monsey area kashrus is a Monsey based Organization

They are so wet behind the ears in knowing basic kashrus. Their Mashgichim are clue-less to put it mildly.
They say now that they will work with Steinmetz's Hashgocha to upgrade his hashgocha, BTW- Today is not April fools day.😅

They have a sign up in Rockland Kosher that they are "on top of" the gangster baal habatim, Badatz Tartikov & Rav Polatschek.
Meanwhile the dairy restaurant section next to the bakery section is using Bodek romaine that even Belsky told his nunter not to eat because it's so infested. I don't know if the shvantz at the restaurant section is GM or shutef or concessionaire but he was also the big organizer of illegal minyanim throughout the entire pandemic, not missing a single day, and marching all his kids there with him. Things are a little too complicated for Vizhnitz to step on YSV's toes. The Vizhnitzer Vilchovitz complex only happened through the old negelvasser exchange. It was YSV's old campus and they had something that Vizhnitz badly needed. YSV sold it to them & was still tenant of Vizhnitz when Finkel hit the fan. Vizhnitz figured if YSV are anything like Hungarians & we get them upset, they will stiff us on the massive rent charge.

You are missing something here.
There are a lot of area residents who care about kashrus, who do not eat from restaurants, who do not eat any food prepared by a supermarket or fleish processed by a supermarket.
There are various shechitos either sealed at the factory or available through a Chassidus. And everything is made at home. Some buy from certain bakeries said to a high level of hashgocho or bake all their own bread as well.
Because there are more people like this than you may have realized, the gesheften & not so upgeheet hashgochos are getting away with whatever they want because most of the remaining customers may not care about kashrus. There are not enough people eating from restaurants & take out who care about kashrus that they can effect any change to improve. For the yechidim who care about kashrus who would like to have options besides making everything heimish, it is a frustrating situation. And the rabbonim have been a big disappointment because they have an achrayus to make sure everyone eats kosher food, including those who don't care.
