ALL Pearled Barley requires checking for infestation regardless of the season or date codes.
Checkin in cold water does NOT work.
You can do a 1 lb bag at one time, by soaking in tap hot water for 5 minutes and stiring once or twice.
Barley should be stored in the freezer.
