Update: Kashrus alert- OU Almond milk D or no D ?

Friendly farms Almond milk "vanilla flavor", some are OU-D some identical containers are OU  not dairy. "very confusing"!

How could a certifier allow the exact same container, when is kosher parve and the other is cholov akum=treif?

Did the OU not 'respond to your terribly confusing dilemma'?
Or did you not bother contacting them?
Or was their response not to YOUR predetermined satisfaction?

Can't blame Yudel for any general dissatisfaction with the OU. They are very arrogant, condescending & act 'holier than thou' when the public asks a broad range of legitimate questions.

For Passover, Yudel LOVED the OU.

Find another reason why Yudel needs to spite corrupt heimishe shgooches & he will temporarily LOVE the OU nuch a mol.

Softball questions only for the OU please said...

"How could a certifier allow the exact same container, when is kosher parve and the other is cholov akum=treif?"

Ha! Now that's a facetious question even by Yudel standards!

Stop pressing the OU in such hardball fashion or poor Rabbi Gordimer might get all bent out of shape again trying to convince everyone that Belsky is not contradicting himself on DA surgical procedure cows.

Yudel, I just communicated with the OU and they told me "This distributor obtains the product from 2 different suppliers. The product is either OU if it comes from Supplier A or, OU D if it comes from Supplier B. The products are typically distributed in different geographical areas. The OU D is dairy equipment from the OU's perspective."
There is no secret or error, just multiple suppliers. the OU can be reached by anyone at ou.org.

The OU is doing a great job. The containers are not identical. The OU parve is the Kosher one. The OU-D is the not kosher one. What seems to be the issue here?

Just wondering how yudel 'was the Rov' at the south jersey pesach program when it was packaged the same as the other pesach programs.
All were run by the same Caterer.
Well, Hakesef yaaneh Hakol. Even Yudel. What a sham (or is it Shame).

Not surprising that an arrogant hashgocho attracts arrogant clients. Look at this company's response to criminal charges of it's own doing:

http://www.providencejournal.com/article/20150428/NEWS/150429268

Bumble Bee Foods and two managers were charged by Los Angeles prosecutors Monday in the death of a worker who was cooked in an industrial oven with tons of tuna.
Jose Melena was performing maintenance in a 35-foot-long oven at the company's Santa Fe Springs plant before dawn Oct. 11, 2012, when a co-worker, who believed Melena was in the bathroom, filled the pressure cooker with 12,000 pounds of canned tuna and it was turned on.

When a supervisor noticed Melena, 62, was missing, an announcement was made on the intercom and employees searched for him in the facility and parking lot, according to the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health. His body was found two hours later after the pressure cooker, which reached a temperature of 270 degrees, was turned off and opened.

The company, its plant Operations Director and former safety manager were each charged with three counts of violating Occupational Safety & Health Administration rules that caused a death.

The charges specify that the company and the two men willfully violated rules that require implementing a safety plan, rules for workers entering confined spaces, and a procedure to keep machinery or equipment turned off if someone's working on it.

Rodriguez, 63, of Riverside, and Florez, 42, of Whittier, could face up to three years in prison and fines up to $250,000 if convicted of all charges, prosecutors said. Bumble Bee Foods faces a fine of $1.5 million.

The state's occupational safety agency previously cited the San Diego-based company for failing to properly assess the danger to employees working in large ovens and fined it $74,000.

Bumble Bee, which has appealed the penalties, said in a statement: "We disagree with and are disappointed by the charges filed by the Los Angeles district attorney's office."

Who cares who the supplier is. It's the same company, same containers, just is kosher and one was made on treif equipment.

It's sold in the same geographical area.

The OU used to have a policy that you can't have 2 similar items....it's very deceiving to the kosher consumer.

Chalmers,

Belsky admits that the cows are treif but drays a kop that the milk coming from them is not.

There is no such concept in halacha.

Just another reason why Rav Elyashev said Belsky makes things up as he goes along and cannot be relied on for psak in any area of Torah.
