The so called "kosher" Water meters installed in Lakewood, have serious Shabbos / Yom-Tov issues.
It's like using a computer with the screen turned off.
In similar designs, Rav Moshe Shternbuch and Reb Shlomo Miller "asserred" them.

What about the Suez Water Co recently installing digital meters in greater Monsey? They were threatening huge knassos afilu if you didn't let them into the shtub to install.
I think Rav Shternbuch Shlit'a AND Rav Miller Shlit'a are still with us and one can ask them what they think about these meters. One does have to make his own assumptions as in:

The Orange & Rockland division of ConEd is in the process of installing digital gas meters in Monsey & KJ.
Could this be a problem when cooking on Yomtov?
