The new restaurant chain Smash House Burgers that’s in Lakewood, Monsey, etc. They are running a commercial now being texted around that’s a cartoon of someone shvimmen alein in the ocean who a meteor lands near him which catapults him to this fress gesheft to try their new “Chop Chop” sandwich. My kids nudged me to go so we drove over. I asked a few questions & immediately left to find another restaurant. Now that Rav Steinmetz is out of Monsey he is imposing an even worse level of kashrus all the way from the midbar shmama of Casa Grande AZ! First, all the beef & chicken in this place is Agri which I’ve never seen Agri on the menu by any Steinmetz account previously. Now sit down for this one! If you want to speak to the “mashgiach(a)” HER name is Shoshana and she wears HOIZEN that are SKIN TIGHT! The place was GEPAKT by the way with Chassidishe fressing there, or at least people who dress the part of Chassidish
That’s a really gruesome choice of name for the sandwich which it’s so ironic that a place serving strictly Agri would think of it. “Chop Chop” was in the news for a different reason this week. The rasha Levi Aron who did away with poor little Leiby Kletzky in 2011 Boro Park was niftar in prison. The inmates taunted him with the nickname Chop Chop because of his methods. The askan Feivy M had complained back in 2011 that there were problems with the rasha when he was in Torah Vodaas but that it was covered up because the one who manufactured bogus heterim for the OU was also the posek for the yeshiva.
When Rabbi Steinmetz opened a competing vaad for eruv & was bashmutzing the original, it really got the shtot rabbonim unsettled who finally started spilling the beans on the scandalous lack of Steinmetz kashrus standards for essen. As is predictable, some Agudah affiliated figures immediately jumped in to mediate with their #1 focus on getting the rabbonim to shut their mouths so that the oylam doesn’t find out the truth of what they’re being fed. Because Steinmetz is cheap & easy, most Monsey restaurants are under him. Sounds like it’s high time to learn what the Agudah has been suppressing …
