All the "show n tell" of properly cleaning infestation from vegetables & fruit,

All the "show n tell" of properly cleaning infestation from vegetables & fruit, etc does it work in the real world?

[see Chasam Sofer # 130, brought in Mishnah Berurah-Pesach]-First, one must be trained to become profecient in knowing what to look for. Second, one must be trained in the proper methods of cleaning. One must have patience and good eye sight. The chasam Sofer sstates, otherwise one may not do his own checking As the Ramoh says in hilchos nikur "these thing one can't learn from books, only from experts.

An person that was not trained & tested by an expert remains unqualified to check infestation for himself, others or as a mashgiach. R"L

So in essence, the CRC's video, The OU's, Kof-K's, Star-k's, etc are not li'maaseh only for show n tell. Understood.

How's the commercial ones with hashgochas? e.g Bodek, Eden, Postive, Golden Taste, Dole, Yoka, Shutz, Rapaprt, etc?

I'm talking for someone that still has the minhag not to eat insects even with heteirim, miut sheanoi mutzui, midgam, samples, etc.

Hard to believe the OU actually certifies the shechita from these two weirdos, wife & husband "rabbis". Even their picture is creepy.

http://www.ecoglatt.com/

Under 3 hashgochos

Limited products under the OU

2nd hashgocho:

http://www.bneiorjewishrenewel.com/

Rabbi Dr. Robert "Hersh" Saunders
B'nei Or
Pueblo CO
719-406-0839

He is not orthodox or even Conservative. He is "Renewal".

http://jstreet.org/j-street-and-brit-tzedek-vshalom-have-integrated/

Saunders is on the "Rabbinic" cabinet of the pro-Palestinian J Street group of self hating Jews.

He actually shechts the meat for this company and also bills himself as an expert on nikkur achorayim

3rd hashgocho:

Rabbi Harry Zeitlin
Congregation Beth Ha'ari
5508 35th Ave NE, Suite 205
Seattle, WA
98105
(206) 524-9740

http://www.ecoglatt.com/images/com_tienda/products/38/img_0849.JPG

This is a picture of Zeitlin's kashrus symbol

http://www.localharvest.org/ecoglatt-inc-M43099?p=2

Zeitlin is advertised as Orthodox but he is not!

http://www.congregationbethhaari.org/page1.htm

He calls himself "Paradox" and is also a member of the Renewal movement

http://www.aleph.org/documents/KolAlephSpring2010.pdf

Rabbi Genack must really love tracking down yeden meshugenna that wants to produce meat. Ecoglatt is owned by Saunders' wife Renewal "rabbi" Elisheva Emily Brenner. She must come highly recommended by Dokter Rabbiner Seth Mandel as she is one of the rabbonim of the Hazon group.

With the ou method not much checking is needed. If one washes with lots & lots of soap the bugs are usually gone. All you need is to see that its clean you do not have to identify if it is dirt or bugs. Both will be gone.

OU being "clean", my foot.

Belsky came up with the chiddush that it's ok to check fresh broccoli which most American hashgochos rely on. If mashgichim even have any training, it is still impossible to clean fresh broccoli as per the gedolei Eretz Yisroel since the time of R' Shlomo Zalman. You don't need the gedolim to tell you as there is no way it will be clean unless you open up every little floret.

He owns a food company in Far Rockaway called United Packagaing Group which the brands Coffee Break and Kosher Select.

They were dropped by OK and Tartikov Beis Din for kashrus violations.

But they advertise they are certified by cRc and veiter by Tartikov.

Fyi, the Denver Vaad announced that they inspected corn on the cob and found it infested with insects.

Call me a cynic but I was very suspicious that this announcement prompted cRc Chicago and Star K Baltimore to react within days that oh no, we checked ourselves and found nothing. How many corn companies do these certifiers take a fee from?

Regarding Kellogg's, there is a rov in Queens who tells everyone that since R' Moishe & R' Aron wrote against KVH for joining with Conservative rabbis, no one should eat from that hashgocho. He's not mispoel from grosya payos either as he doesn't eat from VHQ even after the chuchem arrived from Boston.

We know already that the OK lets clients get away with a lot, even more if they are fellow Lubavitchers, and the most if they are Lubavitchers with protectzia.

It is therefore no surprise then how Basil restaurant gets away with this. Owner Danny Branover is a Lubavitcher but maybe he should not be that untouchable since he is a baal teshuvah.

But he is not just any baal teshuva

http://www.collive.com/pics//nf_2226_190247.jpg

Here is a picture of him sitting with his shver, Lubavitcher billionaire Sholom Ber Drizin. Drizin pumped millions into Agri to keep Rubashkin afloat for a while after the raid.

Now you know that Basil restaurant is REALLY untouchable.

Star K is only supposed to certify cholov Yisroel. They usually pawn off the cholov treifah to Young Israel's Star D but sometimes they quietly hang on to it. They did this with a macaroni & cheese item last year and now they are doing it with beer.

http://kosherbeers.blogspot.com/2011/11/sunday-night-suds-samuel-adams-black.html

Chocolate Bock from Samuel Adams is dairy, not cholov Yisroel. Star K certifies it but has been very reluctant to admit it. They do not publish it anywhere. This has led to a lot of confusion which prompted Scharf to ask them for an official response in which they did not deny it.

A talmid of R' Berel said a long time ago he is choshesh Shmuely Boteach is a mamzer because all he does is talk out loud about inyanei ishus. I don't understand how this loser is now writing for mainstream secular newspapers considering how so much money disappeared before Lubavitch kicked him out of shlichus in Oxford and put him in cherem.

I mention this because he has a disgusting piece in the paper today that is pure trash. He is just writing about znus that has nothing remotely to do even with ishus.

When someone always just looks over his shoulders to see whats going on in the other brooklyn 'shchinas' in order to determine what he should allow in his place, its 'uch in vei' on him and his members, especially the 'enlightened' members.

Remember the controversy with Ouri Nidam's catering business?

First they were dropped by OK.

They then briefly went under the Rabbi Shain from Mirrer yeshiva. He seemed to have distanced himself pretty quickly.

http://www.imageusa.com/images/stories/March11/ouris-Logo-copy.jpg

Then Star K came rushhhhhhing in to grab the fee. (Swoooosh)

http://yudelstake.blogspot.com/2010/06/chewing-gum-some-of-concerns.html?showComment=1276137601888#c87012402754795389

Then Star K, trying to cover up the scandal that erupted after it was revealed that blatant chilul Shabbos was allowed at a high profile bar mitzva in Yankee stadium, pretended they no longer certified Ouri, even though they really did.

Then Ouri was kicked out by the Yankees. This might have had something to do with the din Torah involving Queens Vaad certified Striks who said Ouri unfairly pushed them out.

Then Ouri was dropped by Beth Torah on Ocean Parkway. This shul which was his long time headquarters switched to Ezra Khassky who owns a number of caterers including one under KAJ.

http://www.dailygemara.com/Default.asp?PageDate=11/7/2006

With all the controversy it seems a little odd that Rabbi Eli Mansour uses Ouri as his official caterer for his daf yomi shiur. He is the young Syrian rabbi who is a popular maggid & rising star even with the yeshivishe crowd.

Klein's letter is nothing compared to that miserable jerk Charlie Miller in Woodmere. The rabbi of the Young Israel there, Hershel Billett, invited a galach to speak in the sanctuary on Shabbos morning. Billett came under attack from the yeshivish rabbonim as that is assur. Miller wrote a
letter to 5 Towns Jewish Times to attack the yeshivish velt. While he was at it, he was obviously
upset that Rav Salomon had just visited the area, so he singled him out and called Lakewooders a bunch of unproductive loafers. A modern orthodox guy wrote a rebuttal telling Miller to shut his ignorant mouth and rebuked Billet because even Rav Soloveitchik assers it.

The two anonymous comments at 5:41 & 5:46 are both from 'you know who' at the Queens Vaad.

Let's pick apart his latest nonsense and explain what he REALLY means:

"If that choshuveh rov would really know anything about kashrus"

[You usually call your critics "apikorsim" but when they are rabbonim in the community, you can't get away with your going for the jugular approach so you have to find a more subtle and backhanded way of discrediting them. Talk about reeking from gaayvah that you automatically call a rov a know-nothing when he is smart enough to not eat from YOU]

"and not just let his members 'plopple' what is 'stylish' in kashrus, then he would not use the caterers he uses for his simchas and events."

[Interessant how you are quick to slam every hashgocho around you from 5 Towns to Long Beach to Brooklyn when you can't get your own house in order (RESIGN!). Buried in that remark is also your fanatical application of lashon harah to anyone who has a problem with Queens Vaad while you don't hold by the same standard as you bashmutz everyone else. HYPOCRITE!]

"When someone always just looks over his shoulders to see whats going on in the other brooklyn 'shchinas' in order to determine what he should allow in his place,"

[It's irrelevant whether someone may or may not be doing that. When the only "choice" in town is you, and you shtink, there is no braira except to geb a kuk elsewhere]

"its 'uch in vei' on him and his members, especially the 'enlightened' members."

[Thank you for being so candid on how you hold those shul members in such contempt. I thought they might be your type as they are similar to the chevra who dray zich arum in the hallways by the Agudah convention. I guess I was "wrong". Haha!]

"most practicle said..."

[Maybe practical for you when your modern orthodox masters force you to be no more frum than OU, and sometimes not even that. After you use your spell check, RESIGN!]

"The ou insect book was put together by a team of yeshiva'she guys who tested the procedure time and again."

[Yeah sure. As if they are the last word about what to implement when you've got Rabbi Mach Mich a Heter and the supreme boss who does whatever he pleases]

"They also used guidance from the world expert who resides in eretz Yisroel"

[What guidance? They do not follow Rav Vaye's shitos. How stupid do you think people are?]

"and is in contact with ALL EY gedoilim."

[And ALL EY gedoilim say the exact opposite of Belsky and all the pipsqueak hashgochos who follow him in lockstep despite his being such a controversial daas yochid. Which gedolim ever allowed "checking" fresh broccoli? R' Shlomo Zalman was among the maykilim when he said you could puree. Who allows anisakis?]

"He did pick and choose which gedoilim to ask what so that he can hear his predetermined answers."

[Does that include Rav Elyashev? We all know the Queens Vaad doesn't give a darn what the zkan hador has to say]

"Not like some of the bloggers and commenter's on this site."

[Yes, we sit back and listen to what all the gedolei EY have to say, just in case even one of them might agree with you. So far we've had no such luck]

Anonymous said...

Where does Shalom Task Force find all these winners? They also hired Neuhoff who was running the shmitzike blog for Margulies and Belsky that was full of nivul peh and other issurim when the whole supposed point of Belsky's ridiculous psak was to stop Mendlowitz. It was really disgusting by the way that Neuhoff was picked to address women at this Agudah convention. The message the Agudah is sending is that we will reward you for doing our dirty work, no matter how dirty you get in the process.

Anonymous said...

It's not like a lot of the hashgochos who hide behind Rabbi Belsky on broccoli are providing proper training to their mashgichim to at least do what he says.

They think its better for business but it really only convinces people what lengths they will go in making idiots of themselves to maybe save a few ad dollars from leaving the newspaper.

Meanwhile you go around bashmutzing on blogs, on the phone and in person anyone who did or might have said something or even just knows something about the scam you've got going.

The above includes the lies you tell people about Rabbi Yudel Shain messing up kashrus at Queens catering halls when he hasn't been to the borough in ages.
