Strawberries are worse than Romaine to check for infestation. Romaine lettuce can be checked if one is expert and has the required equipment. Strawberries are infested with thrips that hide under the seeds & it's impossible to see them till they come out.
Therefore fresh strawberries must be peeled completely.
All of the frozen strawberries with a hashgocha or Ishur must be cooked, pureed, etc prior to use.

Is Fairmont Okay?
where's markopolo when you need him?
peeling is a waste of time. They come out while you peel and go right into the fruit.
Also if they are there for sure then you can NOT puree or cook them lechatichila - ain mevatlin issur....
R' Shlomo Zalman has a lomdus that you can puree lechatchila for broccoli. I don't see why strawberries should be different. I think the Satmar Rov was cholek on him.
What about washing and arrating three times w soap?
grandpa do you have to cook the strawberries or pureeing is enough
