The Commissioner of Health of Nassau County just called me and asked for our assistance regarding 8 cases of newly diagnosed COVID-19 in our community in campers returning from Camp Shoresh in Pennsylvania. In addition, many other campers there had symptoms and were not tested for COVID-19. The PA DOH is already involved as well.
Based on significant concerns that the Governor and the NY State DOH have regarding this exposure, they have asked, and I fully agree, that all campers returning from that camp self quarantine immediately. All family members exposed to those campers likewise should be quarantined pending further evaluation. As I mentioned, the Governor himself is aware and has expressed great concern about this exposure and the potential this might have regarding delaying school openings.
It is critical that we do everything possible to abort this potential outbreak before it spreads further and potentially impacts school opening. These campers and all exposed family members should not be attending shul or any community events, and should be quarantined in their houses. Medical advice and COVID-19 testing should be sought as appropriate.

YU's Dr. Rabbi Aaron Glatt who is assistant rabbi at both Young Israel and at the shul of a Shmuel Kaminetzky nephew, has turned out to be a huge disappointment.
While he initially did the right thing when he begged, cried and pulled at the sleeves of the Agudah Fressers - in vain - that they must shut down all the Purim mesibos (which indeed ended up causing almost all the virus deaths in Klal Yisroel), he shockingly & quickly did an about face - in secret - when the Fressers put tremendous pressure on him to switch sides.
And WOW did Glatt ever act SLIMY when he made that decision to join with the immoral Fressers!
Glatt told the oylam that he was going to issue a medical psak about overnight camps. Then he kept stalling. He finally issued a non-answer, a ridiculous song & dance that in a large number of words said nothing.
R' Feivy Mendlowitz then exposed Glatt as being one of the slimy doctors who were likely paid by the Agudah to submit propaganda letters, first to Cuomo, and when that did not work, to the Federal Judge in the ludicrous & brazen attempt to go around Cuomo. These letters not only completely contradict everything Glatt himself said just weeks earlier but he then dishonestly tried to hide his backstabbing switch from the public. R' Feivy pulled the letters from the subscription model PACER database & published them on his website to expose Glatt's fraud in cahoots with the Philadelphia-led Agudah Fressers.

The Agudah had a hard time takka finding doctors who were willing to sign that super dangerous overnight camps are "safe". They only had a single taker from their own Fresser Convention crowd. So they reached out to whatever flaky Modern Orthodox and even Open Orthodox doctors they could muster.
The Agudah Fressers were desperate for Dokter Rabbiner Glatt's signature because he seemingly carries weight as Chief Medical Officer of Mt. Sinai Hospital. But Glatt thought he could keep his dirty participation in the Agudah scheme a secret. His name was kept out of all the Agudah fress, I mean press releases. Not one newspaper has picked up on it. We wouldn't even know about it if the sleuthing chevra at the UOJ site had not dug it up.
The question is what will the Board of Mt. Sinai think if they find out what Glatt did?
When the 40 year cover up of Yudi Kolko exploded on to the pages of major newspapers, Margulies hired OHEL CEO David Mandel & Aron Twerski to give a propaganda speech to cover up for him to the Torah Temimah parent body. Mendlowitz then wrote a letter exposing Twerski to Hofstra University President Lawrence Rabinowitz. The next thing you know is that Twerski is no longer Dean of Hofstra's Law School.
Glatt, Fresser, nist Fressers, Agudah, Hisachdis, OU, YI all are laughing at this 'nissel' trying to zoog deis that no one even listens to let alone follow.
But for some 'nisslach' that gives them life and we thank Reb Yudel for giving the 'Nisslach' a platform to perform and being mechayeh masim.

But when Modern Orthodox David Mandel from Lawrence and the shvantz mit shmoyne begudim Twerski come to cover up for the roydfim Kolko-Margulies, you say just let get away with it, there should be zero repercussions for their cover up sheker. Nothing happened takka to Mandel because OHEL is controlled by the same Fressers who stuff their faces at the Agudah Convention smorg. And if Mandel would actually do something to be matzil neshomos, it would be only THEN that his shteller would be in danger. What a farce Mandel & the gantz OHEL is. Mandel has zero qualifications to head a social services agency. He has the job that pays a half million a year because he plays the Fresser game & talks the Agudah cover up talk.
