They prepared dinner in a treif restaurant for the "kosher" tour in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The suitcase full of kelim got lost by the airline so they went to buy a new knife to prepare fresh fish. but did they use the treif cutting board and other treif kelim of the restaurant?
Is this the same Krakowski who regularly uses his website to promote and support the promotion of lashon hara and motzi shem ra against a few (politically) selected targets?

She explained, that my father had a deal with her, where he would give her 25 cents for every bug she found when she checked the (iceberg) lettuce. She didn't always find any bugs, but those quarters eventually added up.
When I got married, I took my father's idea, adjusted it for inflation, and also tweaked it up a bit. I offered my new wife $1.00 for every bug she finds in ANY type of fruit or vegetable!
Boruch Hashem, I've paid her quite a few bucks over the years. Well worth every cent!
Don't get me wrong. My mother, as well as my wife are quite committed religiously (colloquially referred to as "frum"), and surely wouldn't intentionally offer me to something to eat hat has any bugs in it. Nevertheless, there's something about a financial incentive, even a minor one, that just works wonders to sharpen a persons senses when checking for infestation. You're not just looking for bugs, you're looking for dollars!
So I encourage all of you out there, "put your money where your mouth is", literally. Invest some money to protect what goes into your mouth.
If anybody reading this is really serious about the prohibition of ingesting insects, then go RIGHT NOW and speak to the person in charge of your food preparation, and make them the same or similar offer as I've made to my wife. (By now, you may need to offer $2.00+ per bug found).
It's a win/win situation. If they don't find anything, then there's no cost to you, and you at least know that you've made a serious effort to be protected from eating bugs. If they do find bugs, then you also win, a tremendous mitzvah (see Bava Metzia 61b).
