There's a Chaska not to rely on non Shatnez labels from stores . This is an old story as many years ago heimesh stores with non Shatnez labels were found to have Shatnez and to recheck. The rabbanim at that time in the 70s and 80s came out and said to always recheck by a reliable lab.
Much produce in israel is from Gaza and not chaivin trumos and maasros. Therefore we take trumo and maasros without a Brochos unless we know for sure it was from a jewish farm within the halachic boundaries of eretz yisrael regarding trumos and maasros.

Shop Rite (at least in north NJ) is selling carrots in 5 lb bags that are from Israel.
