From an Email:
Rav Shain, I'm wondering if you or anyone else knows how to deal with a very serious kashrus situation. my company is kosher certified by a so called heimish hashgocha organization. They are known as the "mifia'nerim". They are strong-arming themselves into every possible hashgocha that they take away from other erlicher heimish Rabonim. Their own standards are based on "tzuhl oifen tzeit" nothing else. I'm sure the Rabonim are afraid "pachad-muvess" from the administrator, but why do the companies like me and the tzibur have to suffer from a mafia fake kashrus?

Who is this heimish Organization? I hope they aren't too big & can manage without their products.
"kashrus vilstdee oich"? Yener chevra?
Sounds like Kehilla Kashrus, or as we like to call them, Killer Kashrus. They went into places in Flatbush and told the owners, who were under the Vaad of Flatbush, that they would tell their shuls tha the Kashrus was 'not acceptable' unless they take on KK as another hechsher.
Rabbi Auman, from KK is also on the board of the RCA which oversees the OU, whick is not good enough for the KK.
Do I smell something treif coming from Flatbush??
Our beloved 'sachdis rabonim are being accused of such behaviour? shame on you people that have a sinah to 'sachdis rabunim.
An Ahroni hut ess geshribben, afilih ess iz emmes, muz min dehn altz shreibehn? Shaigatz
Reb Itzu veht dich misader zein mit a gitten potch in punim, ehr kehn geiben a gitten frask, de tzeiner vellen zich shuklen.
Spotlight is having another bad day.
Yudel, Rav Yitzchok Glick shlita zugt az dee bist a minivahl.
Is this the Steinmetz kasrus organization from Monsey? suddenly he's all over with his fake hashgochas.
Pashtus is that Spotlight is doing fine but your Queens Vaad racket is what's not doing so good these days. First you lost all the treif Bucharian places back to their own kind and now all the big box stores with kosher meat & bakery like Costco & Fairway are taking over. They are not the kind of businesses that you can just strong arm under you or out.
I am not from the USA, I was recently able to spend some Shabbosim & be at a few affiars in Lakewood. I can say that they have the same & worse problems there with a hashgocha that I will not name.
Are you reffering to us? I love when people refer to us as the lakewood kosher mafia
Finally an option with much better kashrus standards than the Queens Vaad and easily accessible off the L.I.E.
The food is also much better quality than what has been available in Queens. A pas Yisroel bakery with gourmet level goods either pareve or cholov Yisroel.
The rav hamachshir Rav Marmorstein is makpid not to have anisakis prone species among the fresh fish selections. (No Queens Vaad excuses that life is already "difficult enough" for fish-fressing vegetarians)
Where else in Queens can you find upstanding shechita standards like from R' Dovid Miller?
And the prices are much lower on most items at VHQ stores.

400+ FREE PARKING SPACES!
Mashgiach on premises.
Baked goods made fresh daily, along with a kosher bakery.
I have news for you. When Kehilla first went around warning about VOF, they were right. It was before Rabbi Goldberg came in to clean up the mess at VOF and there was actual treif in some VOF restaurants.
Kehilla did turn out to be a huge disappointment though and appointing R' Yossi Eisen as their consultant only made things marginally better when Scheinerman and the others can push their agendas and cover ups.
actually, the chassidishe hashgachas have a reputation of requiring their stores to buy certain items from specific suppliers cause a: its a mitpallel, b: its the rav's relative, etc. and not for kashrut reasons.
If you have empty space in your car when you go to Douglaston, please notify me, Spotlight. I really need two spaces to feed my 'kindelach' too
but they can eat Queens Vaad stuff too. ME (EECH) 'darf nor nisht' Queens Vaad 'produkten' unleses i'm hungry.
