RE: Haolam shredded Cheese recall; After clarifying the facts re: the process & kashering required for all of the shredding equipment, we are completely satisfied that there wasn't any kashrus issue at all-it was strictly a business & FDA precaution issue that initiated the recall.Thank you for contacting World Cheese Company, the producers of Haolam Cheese.
For the first time in our 75-year history, a voluntary recall by the State of Wisconsin involves a packaging facility that handles only the shredding and packaging (not the actual cheese production) of some limited shredded Haolam products. Although the test results for all of the Haolam shredded cheese distributed in the market place tested negative for Listeria monocytogenes, the State of Wisconsin has requested a voluntary recall of all the products that were shredded in that plant from the time the listeria was found in another brand of cheese also packed in this plant. For more facts regarding this voluntary recall please visit our website at http://www.worldcheeseco.com/
The voluntary recall of the Haolam products were only for the shredded cheese and does NOT involve any of the other quality cheese products under the Haolam brand. If you have any of the Haolam cheese items involved in this voluntary recall in your possession, you can return it to the store in which you purchased it for a full refund.
We apologize for any inconvenience this voluntary recall may cause.
As the oldest producer of kosher cheese products, our family continues its 75-year old commitment to provide the highest quality cheese products / kosher standards. We wish to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation for your support and loyalty.
GOOD NEWS Within the next few days stores will be stocked with freshly packed shredded products that meet the highest standards of kashrus and quality that you’ve been accustomed to receiving from Haolam Cheese in the past. The products will be produced in a new shredding and packaging facility where we have exclusive control over the cheese that is brought into the facility.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and loyalty to our products.
With best wishes.
World Cheese Co.

Not surprised , they have a great reputation and products .
I've been trying to figure out if Heshy Gottesman is or was behind The Cheese Guy as rumored. I can't find any connection.
The company is seemingly owned & run by the Delman brothers who are at least officially modern orthodox. Todd belongs to a modern shul in Columbus, Ohio. Brett seems to split his time between Staten Island & Yonkers where he is a member of the very strange Lincoln Park Jewish Center.
Some of the cheeses are under OU and some under a San Francisco rabbi who signed the pro-gay letter with Avi Weiss & co.

You need to strain to call the Yonkers shul orthodox. The rabbi is Manny Vinas, a Cuban ger who is mechutonim with Pinchos Weberman from the cruise ship hashgochos.

The NY Delman owns this company for 20 years that sells treif cheeses. That could be one reason why the OU makes him use holograms.

He must also like that shiksa who goes to Pomegranate because here they are together at Kosherfest and he can't keep his hands off her. In this picture he's got his arm around her while she is wearing a hat that says "cholov Yisroel", in lashon kodesh no less.

Also at Kosherfest is this picture of Delman together with someone who looks like the head of an Italian "family" syndicate. He is actually Rabbi Umberto Piperno, originally from Italy. You see his fancy looking kashrus symbol on Italian wines & cheeses. They plan on getting together on the cheese end.
Piperno used to be the Chief Rabbi of Trieste, Italy. Today he lives in the Bronx and is the rabbi of the Beth Aharon (Minhag Italia) shul located inside Avi Weiss's Hebrew Institute of Riverdale.
You don't have to guess too hard as to what kind of hashkofos anyone in Avi Weiss's building has. The shvantz who had the shteller before Piperno was Rabbi Maroof who has come under heavy attack in the Yated for good reason.
The Star K also partners with Piperno on cheeses.
Rabbi Chanowitz of the year round Landfield Ave shul in Monticello is a Lubavitcher.

He gives hashgocho to every single item of this party rental company.
Does he send mashgiach temidi to the parties? If he doesn't send a mashgiach, how does he know the customers are using kosher popcorn, etc, inside the machines?
Yes, the OU is ONLY grossing in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
http://matzav.com/rabbi-elefant-kosher-agencies-arent-making-billions
While 90 percent of OU’s funding comes from kosher certification fees, profits are funneled back into community organizations. “Kosher agencies aren’t making billions,” says Rabbi Elefant, holding up the lapels of his rumpled suit. “If we were making billions, I wouldn’t look the way I look.”
If people are using the Inglehoffer & Beaverton brands of mustards, it is not so simple. You have probably seen Inglehoffer as all the major supermarkets carry the selections that come in little roundish glass bottles. Rabbi Yonah Geller was niftar in 2007 and it's not clear who took his place. The company advertises that a rabbi is certifying but they do not publicly name him. Even with Rabbi Geller himself, it has come to light that although he was an RCA member who was widely perceived as orthodox, his shul in Oregon is not orthodox. The new shul rabbi, Arthur Zuckerman, who may have taken over some of his hashgocho work, grew up frum in Brooklyn but went off the derech. The shul was orthodox once upon a time but it's hard to tell if it became not orthodox before, during or after Rabbi Geller being there. They call themselves Egalitarian which means there is no mechitzah and women daven for the amud and get aliyos. It never ceases to amaze sometimes what passes for normal with OU member rabbis.
ALERT
The following products, packaged fresh under the labels Taylor Farms, Sysco, and WalMart, inadvertently bear the ORB logo. Corrective action is being taken. These products must be washed and inspected for insects: broccoli, cauliflower, all types of mixed greens (only when containing whole leaves and no chopped romaine).

This product should not be purchased: chopped romaine lettuce. (If you have already purchased this product, please call one of the ORB rabbis for instructions.)
And Mehadrin Dairy? got new hashgocho a Katz the maruv rebbe, how come? Rumors set that He Katz invested money in Mehadrin in become a part owner, and he is the mashguich no longer Teitelbaum....
the year only 3 days old and already you wasted all this time surfing 'kol metzoira' sites to 'veiter' promote your shtusim. Spotlight.
Maybe if you attended the 'bosses' shiurim you would learn something and get a real education.
Rabbi Teichman from LA took over Rabbi Geller's hashgacha. Rabbi G was extremely Liberal so what does that tell you about Rabbi T's standards?
"the year only 3 days old and already you wasted all this time surfing 'kol metzoira' sites to 'veiter' promote your shtusim. Spotlight"
It doesn't matter what time of year it is and you will find the Queens Vaad Executive Drecktor taking potshots at his critics, whether they wrote something or not, instead of overseeing kashrus. Which come to think of it is one reason why Queens Vaad kashrus is gor shvach.
C.S. is so mushpa from the modern orthodox controlled VHQ shoyn that he has no clue that the New Year started months ago with Rosh Hashana?
January 1st was made the New Year by the ancient Romans. After Julius Caesar was murdered over 2000 years ago, the Roman Senate made him into an avoida zara and made the "New Year" lichvodo. The Notzrim later adopted the same day as the New Year since it was the bris mila day, 8 days after Yoshke's birth on Kratzmach.
C.S. must love the goyishe New Year because of all the cash it brings in from Queens Vaad restaurants & caterers doing goyish style parties. Like the oylam has been warned, don't be fooled that he looks like a yeshivishe maniac!

I surprised that the 'avodah zara' expert would even think of Rosh Hashanah!!!!!
aye. Spotlight. How was yoshkas bris?
Was it under the Quenns Vaad or the KEW GARDENS ASSOCIATION's hashgacha, led by Spotlight himself ( with the approval of you know who...)
Typical of C.S. to attempt to deflect back from himself the criticism that he deserves.
The bris was under Queens Vaad card carrying member Paysach Krohn.
