Cage-free Eggs

The term "cage-free" refers to hens that are not confined to battery cages, allowing them more freedom to move about. However, this doesn't necessarily mean they live in an idyllic farm setting. They might still be housed indoors in crowded conditions.

As for the presence of roosters, most commercial egg-laying operations, including cage-free systems, typically do not include roosters. There's no need for a rooster to be present for a hen to lay eggs. Hens will lay eggs without fertilization. The roosters are necessary only if the eggs are intended to hatch into chicks.

In most commercial operations, male chicks are separated and culled shortly after hatching because they don't lay eggs and are not the breed used for meat production (egg-laying breeds differ from meat breeds). This is a controversial practice in the industry.

So, in general, you wouldn't expect to find roosters in cage-free egg-laying operations. However, the situation might be different on smaller or non-commercial farms, and roosters could be present.

Opinion and Perspective by Binyomin Feinberg feinbergbinyomin@gmail.com

Near the beginning of this week's Torah portion, the premier Biblical commentator Rash"i (Bamidbar 30:16) quotes our Sages in the Midrash "Sifri" that one who causes another to sin takes his place in receiving Divine Retribution. [That's not to absolve those who actually commit the transgressions in question from whatever responsibility they themselves have - see Ramban there.] When community leaders urge people to vote - without providing guidance about the primary moral threats facing us, and their relevance to the candidates - they abuse their positions of influence.

What these "get-out-the-vote" advocates often do is tout their own issues of priority - generally government funding. Thereby, they convey to the trusting masses that those are the primary criteria for supporting a candidate. These "leaders" thereby seek to dupe the public into enabling some of our worst-human-rights abusers - by electing [or re-electing] them. Said "leaders" also are exploiting their public trust and access to media to dupe the community that has benefited them with their trust.

Additionally, they signal the elected officials that they're able to manipulate the community, to encourage political powers to throw more government money their way, to keep the manipulated masses of voters in line, forming a vicious cycle (although a cycle easily broken through with proper information and guidance).

We've previously addressed NJ's much-contested proposed abortion-expansion legislation s3030 several times, e.g.

https://www.jerseyconservative.org/blog/2021/5/20/do-you-support-njs-s3030-the-abortion-amp-human-trafficking-freedom-act. How many times did said "leaders" - ostensibly so concerned about the community welfare - even mention this legislation - or other LGBT, abortion, and trafficking threats? If we can't stop such overtly depraved legislation - even in an election season - precisely what good are elections?

Do we even deserve elections, if we allow them to be exploited to elect more and more of the New Barbarians (of both parties)? And, seeing Divine Wrath all around us, precisely how long do we expect G-d to tolerate our relentless communal wickedness?

As Jews, we bear a greater responsibility to stand up for morality and decency, and against the mainstreaming of sheer barbarism - especially when perpetrated by our own elected officials. In Zechariah 14:2 we read about the terrible things Gog seeks to perpetrate against the Jewish People at the end of days. How can we expect to be saved from such evil acts if we allow those who falsely speak in our name to dupe our communities into passively or actively enabling that very same type of iniquities?

How is it that we countenance people who expend great effort on soliciting community input and resources to ostensibly "fight antisemitism" - while they themselves feel very comfortable enabling elected officials who do far more actual harm to tens of thousands of vulnerable individuals - and to our communities - via legislation than any domestic terrorist organization or individual?

When Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf was asked if we should "forgive" those responsible for the terrorist attacks of September 11, he reportedly replied along the lines of: "Forgiveness is for G-d -- our job is to make the appointment." Those politicians - and the community organizers - who knowingly enable government-mandated human-trafficking, mass LGBT-indoctrination of children in public schools, LGBT celebration of rebellion against G-d in Education and everywhere else, transgender lunacy, molestation-enabling "bathroom bills," mass-abortion, assisted suicide, stealth euthanasia, etc. will have to answer directly to G-d. Our job is to identify and impede them. And if we truly try, we can hope for Divine assistance far beyond our expectations.

FYI Re: Aisle 9 Supermarket

 FYI

There are lady cashiers there that have too much open on top, and it’s disgusting.

The lady closest to the exit this morning was very inappropriate.

Please see if you do something to rectify this.

Update: The intention may be "great", but the outcome (fall-out) may be very problematic.

A Tzedakah Organization formed for Chasanim that they need some basics, etc.

                                                         Great intention!

They'll get them suits from establishments [i.e. His Place South] that have serious issues with Shatnez. [see the following article, the same unreliable Shatnez Center]

They will do a fund-raiser with food provided by unreliable food service establishments.

Their response (to the gullible) is oh, it's all politics, עד אחד נאמן וכו'

What are the chances that much good can come out of such an arrangement?

Herr’s Roast Pork Potato Chips Spark Un-porcine Kosher Controversy

Herr’s Roast Pork Potato Chips Spark Un-porcine Kosher Controversy

On June 13, Herr’s released three Philadelphia-inspired potato chips flavors as part of its Flavored by Philly: Local Eats contest commemorating local restaurants.

Alongside a Korean BBQ and tomato pie flavor was a potato chip imbued with the flavor of a John’s Roast Pork sandwich. On the potato chip bag is a photo of a hoagie roll piled high with pork and greens, held together with melted provolone cheese.

But something else on the package may catch the eye of Jewish Philadelphians less interested in the contents of an otherwise off-limits, non-kosher sandwich: At the bottom of the bag is a circled U with a D next to it, an Orthodox Union kosher certification.

A closer look at the ingredients supports the unlikely hechsher. The potato chips contain no pork — just potatoes, oil, seasoning, salt and cheese.

But even with an ingredients list that supports a kosher dairy certification, there’s uncertainty about the true status of the chip’s hechsher.

On July 12, a spokesperson from the OU told the Jewish Exponent, “Out of sensitivity to kosher consumers, we asked the company to remove the OU from this product.”

A spokesperson from Herr’s said, “All our manufactured products are either kosher pareve or dairy. It is a requirement of all new products to meet these standards” and that the feedback from the OU “has been reviewed and taken into consideration.”

So are the Herr’s John’s Roast Pork potato chips kosher or not kosher? As is typical in Jewish debates, the answer is yes, but it’s complicated.

“This is an old question in some ways going back several decades, in some ways going back hundreds of years,” said Congregation Beth Hamedrosh Rabbi Yonah Gross, kashrus administrator at Keystone K, a local hechsher.

Herr’s John’s Roast Pork flavored potato chips contain no treyf, and Herr’s facilities have been kosher-certified for the past 40 years, according to its spokesperson. Though the product may lose its hechsher, it may still be covered under the OU’s kosher certification and technically keep its kosher status. On the OU’s website, “Herr’s Roast Pork Sandwich Flavored Ripple Chip” is listed under “OU Kosher certified Herr Foods, Inc. Products.”

The potato chips in question may violate the Jewish legal concept of marit ayin, or appearance to the eye, the idea that because something appears to violate Jewish law — even if it technically does not — it should be forbidden for good measure.

The debate has recent precedent: In September 2021, OU did not certify Impossible Pork, a plant-based alternative to the meat product, as kosher.

“The Impossible Pork, we didn’t give an ‘OU’ to it, not because it wasn’t kosher per se,” said Rabbi Menachem Genack, the CEO of the Orthodox Union’s kosher division, in a Sept. 27, 2021, JTA.org article. “It may indeed be completely in terms of its ingredients: If it’s completely plant-derived, it’s kosher. Just in terms of sensitivities to the consumer … it didn’t get it.”

VHQ Queens Vaad De Ja Vu [Hashgocha endorsed by AKO]

 Shalom Rabbi Shain, I read your article and I have more information;

Alert: Queens Yeshiva Dinners took place this year in Vaad of Queens Hall.

One consumer walked into a VHQ hall during an event. He said this hall has two kitchens, one treif and one kosher.

In front of the non-kosher kitchen door is a sign with all red paint indicating the non-kosher kitchen.

In front of the kosher kitchen door is a sign with all blue paint indicating kosher kitchen.

So, all the equipment and cutlery with red paint marking is treif. And all the equipment and cutlery with blue paint are kosher.

The consumer entered the kosher blue paint kitchen and saw red paint mixtures.

"Yismach Transforms the Shidduchim Landscape through Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology"

Initiating a New Era of Shidduchim with AI-Driven Recommendations For some individuals, the shidduchim experience is blissful, finding their significant other promptly with minimal fuss. For others, the journey to marital bliss proves more complicated, a litany of unsuccessful dates that leaves them feeling responsible or, even worse, fundamentally flawed. Traditional matchmaking methods, often reliant on friends or acquaintances, frequently result in disappointing outcomes.

The complexities of matchmaking were eloquently articulated by Rav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman zt”l in his interaction with a young man unwilling to proceed with a match due to a visible physical disability. Despite societal pressure, Rav Shteinman asserted the importance of personal comfort and compatibility in shidduchim, underlining the reality that not all well-meaning matchmakers truly understand the unique desires and requirements of those they are trying to assist.

Yismach, a globally recognized shidduch organization with a decade-long track record of successful match-making, is cognizant of the challenges many face in pursuing a suitable life partner. In line with their mission to facilitate successful matches, Yismach is now harnessing the power of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to tackle these obstacles.

The latest innovation from Yismach results from an unparalleled combination of technology and human acumen. This involves integrating avant-garde AI technology, devised with AI specialists and psychology scholars, to aid matchmakers in generating more precise and fitting recommendations.

The strength of AI technology lies in its ability to identify and highlight the most compatible matches based on a user's profile, biography, and preferences. "The fusion of AI capabilities with matchmaker wisdom and in-depth insights from decades of social psychology research has enabled us to make this ground-breaking advancement," shared Dr. Shmuel Neumann. "This unique collaboration sets our approach apart, allowing us to address the complexities of the shidduch process innovatively."

Before deploying this AI technology, it underwent rigorous testing. A recent pilot of this revolutionary technology resulted in Yismach disseminating over 400 suggestions, with an overwhelmingly positive response. An impressive 30% of recipients expressed interest in meeting the AI-recommended match, while another 20% had previously dated the suggested match and were amazed by the technology's accuracy. A further 20% showed interest and considered further interaction with the proposed match. This 20% rejection rate is strikingly lower than conventional matchmaker-generated recommendations, which typically see a rejection rate of 90%.

Dr. Neumann, the administrator of Yismach, added, "Our objective has always been to make the shidduch process more efficient and less distressing. With AI, we can now provide matchmakers with more accurate data [...]

Vaad Harabonim of Queens (Rabbi Chaim Schwartz) is an upstanding member of AKO

A Buchrain Rabbi caught VHQ restaurant serving Treiff meat. And mashgiach wasn’t fired for his negligence, and the VHQ didn’t publicly admit to their mistake.

I don't think there is a mention that consumers should Kasher their dishes if they purchased food from that restaurant.

Why do VHQ queens get a free pass???

This is the video

VHQ confirmed that it was Treif. And they dropped the place without any explanation to the public. This was 8 months ago.

For the record, It's claimed that All "SIDS" cases R"L, were within 72 hours of receiving some sort of immunization shot.

Vaccines cause SIDS

Even the CDC admits that vaccines can cause serious brain injury and death. Is it any surprise that vaccines can cause sudden infant deaths too?

JUN 18

Watchdog bans 'distressing' antivax advert on Facebook
Coincidence? No single case can PROVE causality. It’s the sheer number of these results and the statistical odds ratios that make the case, plus biological plausibility.

Executive summary

In this article, I’ll present just a few simple examples that demonstrate that vaccines cause autism. If vaccines don’t cause autism, these data points are hard to explain away. And note that “they” never show you their data points measuring the same thing that show an opposite result!!

Stop or delay vaccination —> SIDS decreases dramatically

If you stop vaccinating, or simply delay when vaccines are given to kids, the rate of SIDS goes down. See this article.

CDC paper admits that vaccines can cause brain damage and death

See this section in my previous Substack article for the CDC study and be sure to read all the highlighted sections in this excellent Substack article about the CDC paper.

It basically says the vaccine led to brain inflammation which then led either to permanent brain injury or death.

Get it?

Thus, we meet the “biological plausibility” condition in the Bradford Hill criteria with this paper.

But we didn’t even need that. The fact that people are hard to kill and that injecting a foreign substance directly into your body (bypassing your normal protection mechanisms) could kill you isn’t much of a stretch for most people.

SIDS is much more likely to happen right after vaccination

SIDS seems to happen more often after vaccination, especially if more vaccines are given such as in the example at the start of the article.

My previous article about SIDS

Read the comments in my previous article which talks about SIDS.

My survey results of parents of kids who died from SIDS confirm it was MUCH more likely to happen after a shot than before a shot

Here is my survey.

Here are the results. It is most interesting to read the Notes section written by the parents. I have the contact information for all the parents who responded. There was one gamed entry which I deleted.

I wish someone would replicate this survey, but nobody seems to be interested in doing that. They all want to tell me that my survey is bad, but nobody wants to show the CORRECT results. The lack of interest in doing the “correct” survey tells you everything you need to know, doesn’t it?

The results of my survey show the odds of getting SIDS a month before the shot vs. a month after a shot are 2:32 or 1:16.

If the vaccines aren’t elevating the risk of SIDS, how do you explain this HUGE discrepancy?

Excellent Substack article from AMD on SIDS

See this excellent Substack article written by AMD if you are still in doubt. This article convinced Dr. Pierre Kory he was wrong and that vaccines cause SIDS.

New paper

Probably zero Amish babies have ever died of SIDS

I couldn’t find any SIDS in unvaccinated Amish kids either. Has anyone else?

Causality

The Bradford Hill criteria is widely recognized for establishing causality.

If all 5 Bradford Hill criteria are satisfied, you have causality.

We have causality as you can see from the evidence discussed in this article.

What do you think?

POLL
Do vaccines cause SIDS?
Yes
No
Not sure

If you think vaccines aren’t a leading cause of SIDS, please tell us why in the comments!

Summary

The evidence I’m aware of shows unambiguously that vaccines cause SIDS.

Your interpretation may vary.

Self explanatory

 BS"D

June 7, '23 / 18 Sivan 5783

My brief meeting tonight with HoRav Dov Landau Shlita in Monsey:

Tonight, I arrived about 10 minutes early to my June 6th, 11 pm appointment to speak with the Rosh Yeshiva at the home of R' Shimmy Glick, next-door to Bais Mikrah in Monsey.

I opened by introducing myself, as a grandson of Rav Ze'ev Wolf Leiter (whom, of course he knew as a prolific Boki), and as someone involved in researching the Halachos of Avoda Zorah (New Age-related) issues relevant nowadays. (The Rosh Yeshiva expressed interest, looking at the Sefer about new-age holistic infiltrations pictured below.) I then stated the following:

Although I (B"H) have my own children, I am NOT asking for a brocho for them -- but rather for all of the girls - mostly mesorati (""not frum"") - sitting in Keleh 10 over their refusal to be drafted.

The gabbai (apparently an Israeli) who was serving as a translator of sorts (even though my Ivrit is more than sufficient) asked me, "which jail?" and "Where?" -- acting as if he had no idea what I was talking about -- or where the new Israeli military prison is even located.

The gabbai, not the Rosh Yeshiva, quickly asked me for my "next" question, which was regarding to'aiva (LGBT) issues, to which said gabbai was even curter, responding that I should discuss those issues with the Rosh Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel, not here.  Again, this undiplomatic brush-off was from the gabbai, not the Rosh Yeshiva. Nor did I notice any indication from the Rosh Yeshiva that he was in agreement with the treatment. The gabbai was seemingly acting on his own.

P.S.  This meeting occurred very shortly after a local Rosh Yeshiva (whom I know personally), who similarly had an 11 pm appointment (who arrived perhaps 5-10 minutes after I did) spent a generous amount of time, apparently well over 10 minutes, with the Rosh Yeshiva. I have no objection to that.

What's hard to grasp here  is why To'aiva and Giyus Banos, both of which involve institutionalized arayos and Chillul HaShem of epic proportions, fail to evoke interest by those who are shielding the Ziknei Rabbonim from such uncomfortable facts rather than conveying them.  What could be so unimportant about those topics that mere discussion is to be shoved off the table like that?

WHY PUTTING YOUR HOME IN A TRUST IS THE SMART THING TO DO

WHY PUTTING YOUR HOME IN A TRUST IS THE SMART THING TO DO-By Monet Binder, Esq.

www.mbinderlaw.com

If you are like many homeowners, your home is likely your family’s most valuable and treasured asset. You want to plan wisely to ensure your home will pass to your heirs most efficiently and safely as possible.

Proper estate planning is as much a part of responsible homeownership as having homeowners’ insurance or maintaining your home’s roof well. When it comes to including your home in your estate plan, while you have different planning options to choose from for various reasons, putting your home in a Trust is often the smartest and most beneficial choice.

What Is A Trust? In simplest terms, a Trust is an agreement between the “Grantor” (the person who puts assets into the trust) and the “Trustee” (the person who agrees to hold and manage those Trust assets) for the benefit of the “Beneficiary” (the person(s) who receive what comes out of the Trust).

Types of Trusts-While numerous types of Trusts are available, when it comes to passing your home to your heirs, the two most commonly used Trusts are a Revocable Living Trust and an Irrevocable Trust.

Revocable Living Trust-When the Trust is a Revocable Living Trust; this agreement is typically made between you as the Grantor and you as the Trustee for the benefit of you as the beneficiary. The reason to agree with yourself, to hold title to assets for yourself, for the benefit of yourself is because you’re removing those assets from the jurisdiction of the court in the event you lose capacity or pass away.

You’re in control while you’re alive and well, then you give the power over Trust assets to your successor Trustee to handle without government or court intervention. Instead of public court procedures that would be necessary without Trust planning, with good Trust planning, you can keep it all totally private, and easily and efficiently manage and distribute assets. This saves your family significant time, money, and aggravation.

Irrevocable Trust-Unlike a Revocable Living Trust, an Irrevocable Trust is (as the name implies), irrevocable. This means that the terms of the Trust cannot be changed, and the Trust cannot be terminated once it’s been properly signed. When you transfer assets into an Irrevocable Trust, you relinquish all ownership of the assets, and the Trustee you have named takes total control of the assets transferred into the name of the Trust. Because you no longer own the assets held by the Trust, those assets are no longer considered part of your estate, and they eventually will not be vulnerable to creditors (for instance, Medicaid is a creditor) or lawsuits, as long as the Trust is properly constructed.

For a trust to function properly, listing the assets you want the Trust to hold is not enough. When you create your Trust, you must also transfer the legal title of your home and any other assets you want to be held by the Trust from your name into the name of the Trust. Retitling assets in this manner is known as “funding” your Trust.

Call 718.514.7575 | 732-333-1854 today to learn which Trust is appropriate for your family. We’ll review your assets - including your home - and discuss your options to protect them for fut.

Marriage with a Narcissist may be difficult or rather impossible. It's important to deal with it, not ignore it.

In psychology, narcissism is a personality disorder characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a more severe form of narcissism and is classified as a mental condition. People with NPD have an inflated sense of worth and deeply need others' attention and admiration. Still, they’re also likely to be unhappy and disappointed when not given the admiration they think they deserve. Their relationships are often troubled because they consider themselves superior to everyone around them.

A person with NPD may display the following characteristics:

Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance.

Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration.

Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it.

Exaggerate achievements and talents.

Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty, or the perfect mate.

Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally remarkable people.

Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior.

Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations.

Take advantage of others to get what they want.

Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

Be envious of others and believe others envy them.

Behave arrogantly or haughtily, coming across as conceited, boastful, and pretentious.

The causes of NPD aren't well-understood, but like most personality disorders, it's believed to result from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Early life experiences, such as sensitive temperament, excessive pampering or criticism, trauma, and abuse, may also play a role.

Regarding remedies and treatment, psychotherapy (talk therapy) is usually the first line of treatment. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can be beneficial, which helps individuals identify unhealthy, negative beliefs and behaviors and replace them with healthy, positive ones. Family therapy, group therapy, and couples therapy can also be helpful.

Medications aren't typically used to treat NPD, but if the individual has other conditions, such as depression or anxiety, medication might be recommended.

Living with NPD or being in a relationship with a person who has NPD can be very challenging. Self-care, setting boundaries, seeking support from trusted friends or family members, and professional help, such as therapy or support groups, can be beneficial.

It's important to note that a qualified mental health professional should diagnose NPD, and the person with the disorder should also seek treatment from a professional. It's not something that someone can diagnose or treat on their own.
